This is the perfect spot. Soo peaceful and beautiful back at the very end of a country dirt road in the far west corner of brantley Co. Ga.. But its not too far at all from nearby Waycross which has dining, lodging, shopping and anything else you'd need.
We had our daughters baby shower here and it was so simple to come in and set up at the inside venue. We could pull right up to the front door and unload, then go park in the close by parking area. All of our family and friends were amazed at how beautiful 74 oaks is. They have ample photo opps and we took advantage because its not often enough that our family gets together since we live in multiple states. Some of them even went to very nearby Laura walker state park and made a mini vacation at the modern cottages. They also have primitive cabins and RV/camping sites.There is a nice outdoor venue at 74 oaks for weddings as well. This is much easier than having to set up your own house for a party. I would suggest this for any baby shower, graduation, Bachelorette etc party.

Poorly ran when it comes to bringing food in for catering. Venue doesn’t allow ample time for prep or setup 2 hours isn’t a responsible time for heating and setup. Had to find somewhere to refrigerate food over night and staying in hotel.

Hi Leslee, thank you for your feed back. At 74 Oaks, our top priority is creating a safe and stress-free day for our couples. Because we are not licensed for food service, we aren’t able to store food overnight, but we do provide a 2-hour window prior to the reception for setup and heating. This timeframe was chosen after consulting with caterers, and in our 13 years of hosting weddings it has worked very well for most events. (This is the first complaint we have had in regards to the time frame for catering and food setup.)
We understand every celebration is unique, so we always encourage couples and their caterers to connect with us in advance so we can help make the day as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

We held my daughter's Bridal shower and her wedding at 74 Oaks. It was very affordably priced. The venue and the property is beautiful. Brandy Johnson Murray is so very helpful, she made us all feel so welcome there. The Bridal shower was decorated beautifully. The wedding went smoothly. The chapel was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the reception hall was decorated for a fairytale wedding. Love this Place and its Staff!
I attended my nephew's wedding and it was wonderful. Driving up to the property, I was afraid of what was going to be around the corner but we were all pleasantly surprised. It was just the right weather and the reception was beautifully decorated for a fall wedding.
This place always never have availabilities around the holidays and a worker there told a family member of mine a year ago as well as the year before that the the same family always rent out this building and the family as well as this company never give other consumers a chance to book that's really bad for business the young lady that's over the event spaces say to book ahead of time but my family member called last year in April and the year before in February, and this year and Its always their booked to me its a BUNCH OF LIES!!!!! This is unacceptable either build more rooms on to the building or stop telling the customers that its booked knowing its the same family that keeps renting it out every year PERIOD.
