Customers frequently cite punctuality, fair pricing, and detailed communication as key strengths, noting that the crew handles exterior and interior painting, staining, and cabinet refinishing with thorough preparation. Recurring themes include efficient scheduling, professional conduct, and meticulous attention to surface prep and finish quality. One low-star review criticized the crew for leaving paint on furniture and floors, requiring the homeowner to arrange separate cleanup assistance after the project concluded.

I highly recommend them. Lui came out promptly to give us a quote for staining our entire house. He was very patient in helping us pick out the type, brand, and color of products. His crew thoroughly power-washed the house, let it dry for a few days, then efficiently sprayed and rolled in the stain. The crew was friendly and professional. They were meticulous and had the entire project done and cleaned up within three days. They would be the first people I would ask to do more painting.
Lui and his team did a fabulous job completing a full exterior paint project in 2 days. I appreciate Lui's attention to details, patience explaining the steps, paint selections/advice, and ongoing communication throughout! I highly recommend Above the Cut Painting if you want quality, professional work completed.
I’ve had Above the Cut do several painting jobs both interior and exterior in the last few years. They are very fairly priced and do excellent work. At this point, whenever I need painting work done they are the only painter I call.

Good to know, Gary. I always felt comfortable working for you both.
Lui and his team did a fantastic job at bringing new life to our aged kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, 12 doors and primary bedroom with fresh paint, expert consultation, and experienced craftsmanship. We would work with them again in a heartbeat. Thank you!!!
Lui is very easy to work with, provided us options, and gave a very fair quote. He explained in detail the work he and his crew did. They were quick, clean and efficient. The exterior of our house was revived and our neighbors are impressed with the outcome. We'll be contacting Lui again for more exterior and interior work when our new project is underway.
I’m pleased to provide this review. I contacted “Above The Cut Painting “and requested a quote to paint our home. Lui returned my call and set up a meeting that afternoon. He explained the process and set up a schedule for the project.
His crew was polite and respectful of our property, while working efficiently.
We are pleased with the paint job and will recommend “Above The Cut Painting”for their honesty, communication, skilled painters and fair pricing.
