As both a Realtor and someone who has personally built several homes, I can confidently say Brad at Abstract Residential Design is exceptional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, loyal, and humble—qualities that are hard to find in this industry. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and integrity set him apart, and he genuinely cares about his clients and the quality of every home he builds. I highly recommend Brad to anyone looking for a builder they can trust. He is truly one of the best.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We are delighted to know that our dedication has left such a positive impression. Your kind words about our efforts and values mean the world to us. We look forward to helping with future projects you might have!
We hired Abstract RD+B to design and construct an ADU on our property in 2025, and we couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. From the start, Brad Schmidt was highly responsive and professional. He met with us on-site to thoroughly discuss the project and our design vision.
Brad demonstrated real expertise in navigating the local approval process, preparing plans and successfully modifying them to meet Gem County Planning and Zoning requirements; a process that can be challenging for many contractors. His hands-on involvement extended to the finishing selections as well, including paint, flooring, and countertops. He even accompanied us to Francini Inc. to help us select the perfect granite countertops, which we truly appreciated.
Throughout construction, Brad and his foreman Bruce did an excellent job coordinating subcontractors across every phase, keeping the project on track and running smoothly. The result is a beautifully finished space with outstanding functionality that exceeded our expectations.
We would highly recommend Abstract RD+B to anyone looking for a skilled, attentive, and reliable design-build contractor. We would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects.

Brad and his team at Abstract D+B have been an amazing partner for All Valley Garage Doors. The attention to detail and communication between his clients and subcontractors is second to none. They do a great job in understanding the needs and expectations of the client and ensuring the end product is nothing short of that deliverable. Great partner for both clients and subcontractors..

Thank you for sharing your experience, we're excited about future opportunities to work together.
From start to finish, Brad and his team went above and beyond in building my mother’s quarters as an addition to my home. We were working within a tight budget, and Brad made it work. He took the time to meet with my mother and me, review our goals, and create a stellar design perfectly suited to her needs.
Throughout the project, he visited our home often to check on the progress and took the time to connect with our family. He even accompanied us to choose countertops, carpet, and other features, ensuring everything aligned with our vision. His communication, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional—and above all, I always felt that he genuinely cared about my family and about making sure my mother was happy.
Bruce, the project foreman, shared that same dedication and consistently went above and beyond for my mother as well.
Without a doubt, I can say with 100% confidence that if you hire Brad, he will exceed your expectations.

Great people! They care more about doing what’s best for people than just making money. I asked them to modify and finish up some plans I’d started with another draftsman a few years back. He spent time with me, gave me valuable feedback suggestions and then told me as much as he would love to help, it would be best for me to use the original draftsman and explained all of the reasons why. Class act. Appreciate the integrity.
