This is the spot if you are looking for a new record to take home. The space itself is massive but as you comb through the boxes you appreciate how well organized the music is. If the vinyls themselves aren’t already interesting enough look at all the artwork that is hung up.

Excelente!
Thank you !!
Academy is the best!! Super helpful and friendly staff. The dance 12” section is super organized and the employees clearly put a lot of effort into it, a rarity! Selling records is very easy, ask for Cory and he will make it happen!
You can spend hours looking. They also sell vintage receivers and turntables.
My favorite store!
Thank you Daniel !!!
Best deals! Cory who’s apparently the owner was very helpful:. Fave shop
This is one of the non-disastrous and most dynamical outstanding places I ever go from Greenpoint to Williamsburg. I think, I've haven't ever been to Academy Record Annex since before in the beginning of spring but for 5 impressive months. My favorite innovative and advantageous unique places of the times also include vinyl records, 45RPMs, CDs, cassette tapes and more etc. I go to the new wave/post-punk, house/techno, electronic, r&b soul/oldies and more etc. I get anger respiratory syndrome issues after listening to vinyl records are skipping over the record player or stereo system because I like to listen to music or vinyl records on my headphones or the bodacious sound turntable! Thank you for understanding this imperfection moments in NYC! 🙏 😊 ☺️
Best record store in NYC. Great selection, fair prices, and they pay well when you’re selling records and used gear. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially the guy with the big hair. I always find something good when I stop in. Highly recommend.
Great
Thank you John !!
Not only is the place huge but the record selection is out of this world AND you can honestly find some real gems for a slammin’ price. Ex: I found Stevie Wonder’s “Innervisions” album, (my favorite one) for $12–you can’t beat that! Staff are super knowledgeable but also laid back. There’s no hovering and they let you do your thing.
;) good music for good prices !!!!
