Are you someone who has let an ache continue (WAY longer than you should have) not knowing how it could possibly get better? Don’t put it off any longer! I received a shot in my thigh 28 years ago, which resulted in half of my thigh, calf and foot being numb for three weeks. I was told the shot probably hit a nerve and would take about a year to heal. It did take a year to feel more “normal.” However, I have continued to have a “bruised,” deep pain in my thigh through all these 28 years — and most likely contributed to an abnormal way of supporting my body as I walked, exercised, etc. I could give you a number of additional things that MAY have contributed to the pain — there’s no way of knowing for sure. What I do know for sure is Ehren Trost listened and has addressed each pain, and what a RELIEF I have had from the pain(s)! He continues to listen and has made such a difference! Ehren has helped tremendously to get me back to a more normal and solid way of walking. At 68 years young — I’m not looking to run a triathlon — just trying to enjoy everyday life without pain. My assumption is MOST people are seeking help because of an acute issue/pain, which is why I began PT at Activecare. I have gone beyond the acute pain stage, to the long-standing pain — I am so pleased at the results of my therapy, especially the dry needling, for truly getting to the root of the deeper pain in my leg. I would recommend anyone — with ANY type of issue — to get yourself to Activecare! You will be so happy with the care you receive! The entire staff deserves a 10-star review — not just a 5-star — they are way beyond that… Top-notch, excellent, kind, extremely knowledgeable and so very capable of solving any physical issue(s) you may have. Activecare is absolutely the best Physical Therapy Center in Erie! ***** When my doctor suggested PT, I had low expectations that the chronic issues I was dealing with for years would improve. I couldn’t have been more wrong! From day one, I was treated with courtesy, respect and encouragement which was evident the minute I walked in the door. Sarah at the window was incredibly kind and accommodating, certainly setting the tone for the whole experience. I had the pleasure of working with Ehren who is by far the most intelligent and intuitive therapist I have ever worked with. He listened to my issues, made great evaluations, and one by one, created a plan for each issue that has given me a huge improvement in my mobility and pain. The dry needling therapy was an incredible boost to my pain management and healing and has really allowed me to improve even more. My therapy was individually diagnostic, prescriptive, and set at a pace that allowed me to gain strength and confidence along the way. I began by barely being able to walk in the door “wall surfing” to building stamina, a much larger range of motion, and learning to exercise muscles that helped me improve every week. Each session included evaluation, education, therapy, and a huge amount of encouragement. I have never experienced this in my many years of physical therapy in other places. Activecare is gold stars all the way! I didn’t know I could feel this well again! Thank You Ehren and Staff!!!

After years of pain my wife and I tried ACTIVECARE and have used them ever since…they have treated us for several different problems and have NEVER regretted it. Julie was assigned to my treatment regimen. She was kind, patient, and gentle, and developed a comprehensive plan of care for my cervical radiculopathy. She used several treatment modalities including dry needling, massage, cervical traction, neck exercises, and arm band exercises. She repeated the instructions as needed and made herself readily available by texting through the practice’s app and telephone. She advocated for me with my medical care team. It was wonderful to have the full attention of a DPT- Doctor of Physical Therapy throughout. I recommend this practice, including an owner (Renee) and Sarah in scheduling and reception who are always pleasant and accommodating and Julie as an experienced, knowledgeable PT, who shows that she enjoys her profession and time with her patients.
