I brought my 2019 Ram 1500 here on Oct 2 2026 . I spoke with Danny about my problem " bent tie rod due to another driver merged into my lane " i was told they would diagnose it then go from there. During the vehicle intake I felt completely confident with their service. Danny told me how it was black & white no beating around the bush and for me that made my decision to go through Advance for repairs. They repaired my truck and did an alignment as well . My truck feels brand new again and drives stright as an arrow . Thank you to the mechanic and Danny up front for keeping it real with me .

Danny at Adventec was exceptional. We called in the afternoon to try and get an appointment for a Jeep Cherokee as soon as possible and he said bring it tomorrow and he’ll have a diagnosis within a couple hours (compared to the Jeep dealership which we made an appointment with and they said it might be 2-3 days before we can look at it when we tried to dropped it off). He ran the diagnostics, didn’t find any concerns for the reason we brought it in because the warning message was not displaying, but did find some potential future issues to be addressed. He wasn’t pushy and suggested to monitor the situation to see if further attention was needed. NO CHARGE FOR THE DIAGNOSTCIS. Seems like a very good operation!

Made an appointment here to get a couple services done. The person who made my morning appointment over the phone quoted me pricing and said the service wouldn’t take too long so I planned my morning around it and planned to stay.<br><br>When I arrived, the guy at the front desk told me the service would be several hours at the minimum. He then told me they couldn’t even do the differential flush because they have to order the fluid.<br><br>To add insult to injury, I asked to confirm pricing I was quoted over the phone, and he upped the price for one of the services. I wouldn’t recommend doing business here. They were rude and don’t have good business ethics.
Yes I will be cliche and say this is an honest mechanic. The best? I don’t know. A mechanic is like a dentist or barber, you only need one. I’ve moved around a bit and met a few mechanics. This one I feel is the most no nonsense, least upsell, straight up with you. In this modern society? Gold.
I have been a customer at Advantec since I first moved to San Diego almost 10 years ago. The customer service and professionalism here in unmatched, especially in an industry that can often feel a little daunting for someone like me who doesn't know much about cars or pricing on jobs. The guys there always take the time to explain the recommendations and repairs to me, along with pricing and how it all works. This is a mechanic shop that you don't need to feel worried about being swindled or overpriced. They are consistent, reliable, friendly and professional. I won't be going anywhere else and couldn't recommend Advantec more!

Got an oil change and alignment for my old Volvo wagon. Went on a beautiful run through the local area while I waited. Great service and everyone here seemed very friendly. I'll be back! I love Auto Tech El Cajon but when they are busy, I'm glad to have found a backup! Thank you!
I started taking my car to Advantec about seven years ago when my Honda Civic needed a major repair and another local shop gave me a ridiculous estimate and tried to scare me into not driving away.<br>The guys at Advantec do not upsell or recommend unneeded repairs or maintenance. They are honest, which is a rarity these days. After 12 years with my old car, I’m now bringing my CRV Hybrid to them and getting the same great service!
