Whether it’s windy and cold, or hot and cloudy, Aggie Park has often been a relaxing place in many ways. During normal times, I can take in the scenery and ambience, with the occasional squirrels, birds and ducks traversing the area. I can also sit down to just allow myself time to process myself, listening to the running water and occasional activities from other people. And during game days when it’s busy, I enjoy the visiting community and children playing around, unafraid of nature and tailgating with bright conversations. Sometimes, there’s even music concerts that, while reserved and not open to everyone, are still great to listen to from a distance. Whether you’re a frequent visitor or just need occasional time to reset, Aggie Park is a comfortable location you can rely on!

I took my class to Aggie Park on wellness day. We got plenty of vitamin D. We sat at the tables on the elevated area behind the creamery. There is a shaded area there where we got all our tables in the shade for our class period. It is a beautiful area with lots of trees and tables to enjoy the outdoors.

Aggie Park at Texas A&M University features a scenic 3-acre lake stocked with largemouth bass, channel catfish, and sunfish, offering a peaceful catch-and-release fishing spot right on campus with modern docks and beautiful views. It is also a great spot to catch personal best catfish if you don't feel like driving miles to a lake like Lake Somerville!!!
