Took my 10 month old rottweiler for the two week board and train and we are extremely happy with the training. He obeys and listens to commands, is much more well-behaved and i can take him off leash with no problems. Highly recommend this trainer!
We actually didn't use ACDT but called him about some issues our 2 yo dut h Shepard was happening. He was upfront about what was likely going on and advised us that we should get her checked out by a vet before spending a bunch of money on training, we really appreciate his upfront advice and forthright information.
I was overwhelmed with a new puppy when I found Alamo City Dog Trainers online. I took Alder, my puppy, to meet Abe and find out about the board and training programs Abe offers. After just a few minutes, I felt hopeful and less anxious about having a puppy. Alder did the two week board and train with Alamo City Dog Trainers, and the change in his behavior has been amazing. Abe’s kennel and training facilities are at his home, and he treats the dogs as his own. When I went to pick Alder up, he was happy, excited and following commands! Alder had obviously been well cared for. Abe worked with the two of us before sending us both home to continue our training. I appreciate that Abe is available for additional help and that I can board Alder at his facility when I leave town. Abe’s pricing is competitive, but he offers what most training facilities don’t - payment plans! This option helped me, a retired teacher, get training for Alder that I knew I could not do on my own. Alder and I both had a great experience with Alamo City Dog Trainers!
Abe transformed our dog for us. We dropped off an insane puppy who didn’t listen unless bribed by treats. We got back a dog that knows commands without any incentive. He houses the dogs in a super nice climate controlled kennel with their own personal potty area. He is also a veteran and was very accommodating of my military schedule.
We definitely recommend Alamo City Dog Trainers! We dropped off our 10-month-old Newfiedoodle, Hazel, for their two-week training program, and it was completely worth it. The before and after is incredible! Hazel came home more confident, well-behaved, and eager to listen. The trainers were professional, caring, and did an amazing job keeping us updated throughout the process. We couldn't be happier with the results.
I had a really good experience with this dog training program. It was a two-week program, and I saw great results with my dog. It was fun being able to see the progress as the trainer posts daily videos showing the training. After the training was completed, I really appreciated that he took the time to offer me a one-on-one training session. He walked me through exactly how he worked with my dog so I could continue reinforcing everything at home. That extra support made a huge difference and showed how much he genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for real results and a trainer who goes above and beyond!
We sent our dog, Oli, to Alamo City Dog Trainer for a two-week program and had a fantastic experience. It's always tough leaving our dog for that long, but it was clear he was well taken care of the entire time. We enjoyed the daily progress videos! We've seen a massive improvement since he's been back. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional trainer.
Such an incredible dog training experience!! He took our stubborn 9 month German Shepherd and in two weeks taught him to follow commands and walk on a leash like a dream. Moose is still a wild 9 month old dog with plenty of personality, just has a few more manners now! Abe did an incredible job training my bloodhound. It’s the only other place besides my house he gets excited to go to. Abe goes above and beyond, answering any questions about training and even offering refreshers. My boy went from scared and misbehaved to confident and well behaved. Loved the daily pictures while he was there boarding.
Abe is incredible! Our 6 year old golden retriever Gus was anxious, always pulling on the leash, and had altercations with other dogs. Now he is a completely new dog…listens to commands, is a joy to walk, and is much more relaxed. It has actually been fun to take him to restaurants and parks. Alamo City Dog Trainers is the best!
