I’ve worked with Alex and Mal at Alexander South NC on everything from commercial photography for my food tour in Austin and firewood company in Asheville to family photos, and he’s delivered excellent work every time. He has a great eye and knows how to capture each business’s personality just as well as the natural moments during a family session. The images are consistently sharp, beautifully composed, and thoughtfully edited. They are professional, easy to communicate with, and makes the whole process feel comfortable. Highly recommend them for both business and family photography!
We couldn’t have asked for a better media team for our engagement and wedding! Their attention to detail, creativity, and calm professionalism made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. I can't say enough wonderful things about Alex and Mal! They absolutely crushed our engagement and wedding photos—I'd give them a 6 out of 5 stars if I could. From the very first moment we met, they made us feel so comfortable and at ease, which allowed us to truly enjoy our special day. Traveling all the way to Mexico for our destination wedding, they became such a fun presence in our celebration. I was blown away by their professionalism; they never stopped capturing every moment all night long! Every time I look at our wedding photos, I’m brought to tears. They are simply beautiful and tell the story of our day perfectly. We received so much more than we ever expected, and I am beyond grateful that we chose to hire them. If you’re thinking about booking them, don’t hesitate—I can’t recommend them highly enough!
Alex was absolutely outstanding, from our engagement photos to our wedding photos. He made every moment so special and perfect. He made the experience of taking photos fun and enjoyable and memorable. The photos are absolutely amazing and more perfect than my wildest dreams. He was able to travel for our wedding along with his wife Mal to help capture our big day. We will treasure these special memories for a lifetime and cannot say thank you enough times for making it an unforgettable experience.

The entire team at Alexander South was AMAZING throughout our entire wedding process – if we could give them 10 out of 5 stars we would, our experience was out of this world from start to finish! On the front end they were incredibly detailed and efficient in planning all of our shots/locations/etc. prior to the wedding which made pictures on the big day a breeze. They also had a knack for being everywhere without you even knowing they were there – we were blown away at the number of behind the scenes shots we got, they literally captured every aspect of our wedding day (which included a lot of things we would’ve simply missed having not seen it firsthand ourselves). Once our wedding was done the turnaround time to receive all of the pics (and there were A LOT of them!) and our wedding video was very quick. Most importantly the pictures were INCREDIBLE! I cannot recommend them enough – there is a reason that they receive nothing but 5-star reviews, they are simply the best!! We will be forever grateful to them for their outstanding work in capturing our wedding day.
Having Alex take your photos is like having LeMelo and you’re the Hornets. He’s a baller behind the camera! Appreciated his realness and tips to not make RBF look THAT bad. Can’t go without mentioning the all famous bumper cars move also. Forever grateful for him shooting our wedding!
Screw “great” and 5 stars. Alexander South NC deserves a “phenomenal“ rating. 10+ stars! We could not have gotten a better team to document and capture our wedding. From the beginning, they were organized, always kind and inclusive, creative and prompt. They were more than open to all of our ideas and proved over and over again how darn talented they are! They turned sneak peak pictures around THE DAY AFTER OUR WEDDING. Then, all of our pictures were sent to us in such a quick turnaround. They must not sleep - that’s how much they put their clients first. It’s crazy and we aren’t sure how they do it all. We also highly recommend having them do your wedding video. We can’t get enough of it and they summarized the entire night flawlessly! Such genuine, good humans who truly care. We cannot recommend them enough!
Alex did my graduation pictures for NP school. He was so wonderful! His communication is quick and his work is amazing! He even managed to get a few great pictures of me with my very active toddler haha! Finishing NP school was such an important accomplishment for me and I am so happy I chose Alex to capture this milestone for me ☺️
