What a cool regional airport! It is a stunning piece of architectural history. Even better, it has been recently remodeled in the last several years to preserve its historic details, while bringing it into the modern age with new amenities and rooms. One of the best things of all about this airport is if you just want to plane spot, or take some great pictures, you can still go through the airport out toward the runway. There they have picnic tables and a low wall where you, and your kids, can safely watch planes take off and land. Aside from the airport itself, for business travelers, you have Corporate Air onsite as well, to provide business jet services.
A nice Class D airport near Pittsburgh with a friendly and helpful staff. An excellent location to take off from for a scenic tour over the city. Unfortunately and unlike Latrobe, another local airport, there are no local restaurants at the facility. There are plenty of good dining and hotel options in the immediate area.
This is a nice place to work if you like passengers, public art and use Google translate. It's really sad that they took out the airside post office. I thought the food was really really terrible here and far too expensive, then I visited Newark New Jersey ewr where the food is 10 times worse and three times more expensive.
