My wife and I began with ASF in 2021. We are recently retired from the Federal Government. At first we were advised on how to handle our TSP accounts and I had some IRAs from previous employment they consolidated. Over time they transferred the TSPs to investments with Charles Schwab and set up a financial plan for retirement. My wife always handled the money, and sadly she became ill and could no longer deal with it. I was completely unprepared to handle the situation. Arthurs team worked overtime to assist me in my time of need, every question I had, every situation I was faced with was and is dealt with promptly. I can't express how much this means! I met Arthur Stein in 2017 at a class he was teaching at Montgomery College called “Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, and ETFs Explained”. I had retired the year before and my husband and I felt the time was right to explore what help a professional could lend to managing our retirement funds. Art was extremely knowledgeable and made the material understandable to even the novice investors in the class so, I took up Art on his offer to receive his periodic emails. They, too, were very informative. After my husband retired at 70 in March, 2021, and deciding that we would benefit from a Certified Financial Planner to help us manage our money (which at that time was spread across multiple 401Ks and IRAs) I contacted Art and we began our relationship with Arthur Stein Financials (ASF). In our initial conversations, ASF helped us to identify our level of comfort with risk and our retirement goals. Art helped us to understand the need for diversification of our investments and implemented the 60/40 stock-to-bonds ratio, both of which have served us well through the stock market’s volatile moments since 2021. Art and his team have been thorough, available, and patient when our understanding of wealth management has been limited. He also has been very helpful suggesting how we might address financially a thorny problem with a relative’s long term care issues. We are very happy with Art and ASF and look forward to continuing our relationship.
