We worked with Jake DeMeerleer. Jake was amazing throughout both the sale of our previous home and the purchase of our new one. He was always responsive, reasonable, clear in explaining every step of the process, and extremely efficient. He listed our home and had it pending within just six days, while also coordinating the entire process of selling our existing home and purchasing the new one. Everything moved incredibly smoothly, and step by step we were able to complete both transactions within just a few weeks. What we appreciated most was Jake’s style. He was never pushy or salesy, but always available, practical, knowledgeable, and straightforward. We felt well supported throughout the entire process. We are extremely happy that we chose to work with Jake and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.

My wife and I purchased an Alturas home in the Quartet community of North Meridian in 2025, and we absolutely LOVE our home and our neighborhood/community. The Alturas staff are super friendly and attentive to your needs to ensure you will love your home. Ashley and Nolan were super helpful and thorough from start to finish - from the initial walkthrough of our home to helping with processing warranty claims almost a year after moving in. Cees and Tony did a great job of addressing our warranty claim items of typical minor repairs that come up when having a home. Overall, my wife and I are 100% satisfied with our home, and we would HIGHLY recommend Alturas to anyone considering purchasing a home. Our agent Jake Demeerleer was an absolute GEM throughout the entire buying process. My wife and I haven't purchased a home in a long time, and the prospect of buying a home seemed pretty daunting. We didn't know Jake, but from the very first tour of our future home he was available to hold our hand through the process. To sum it up, if our kids decide to purchase homes in Idaho, I would definitely trust them to Jake. And for me, that's saying a LOT. And you can trust him as well. Cheers Jake, you're the best!! 👊

I was genuinely excited to buy a home with Alturas and had a great experience working with Katrina—she was kind, professional, and even met with me on Mother’s Day. I truly appreciated her throughout the process. As a first-time homebuyer, I entered this journey with hope, trust, and the desire to find the right home. I didn’t walk away from Alturas—they ultimately chose not to work with me. And while I understand that not every buyer-builder relationship works out, I want to be clear: I tried everything I could to move forward. My first offer was on a smaller home in the Arbor subdivision. The inspection revealed several issues, including: 1. Bowed walls 2. Damaged siding with exposed nail heads and holes 3. Water damage in the garage 4. Unfinished fencing I was expected to pay for 5. Visible tape lines, caulking issues, and inconsistent paint 6. Flushness and general finish issues throughout the home Rather than walk away, I redirected my offer to their model home, hoping the issues would be resolved or non-existent. Instead, they were worse. Still, I remained engaged. I offered to buy another home, wait until August, or even walk away from $30,000 in earnest money just to make the deal work. That’s not “changing direction”—that’s trying to stay in the process. What may have been missed in all this was my experience with my realtor. There were gaps in communication and things I didn’t fully understand at the time—because I’m not a builder, and this was my first home purchase. I wasn’t trying to be difficult. I was trying to navigate something big and unfamiliar, and I could’ve used more clarity and empathy along the way. What hurts more than anything is that, instead of understanding or compassion, I later discovered that Alturas had spoken negatively about me to other builders in the area. This kind of behind-the-scenes judgment has made it more difficult for me to work with others—and I’ve since learned I’m not the only one who’s experienced this kind of builder “circle” treatment. Alturas recently responded to my review by saying they were “perplexed” by its evolution—as though my opinion shifted based on how much attention I was given. The reality is, my opinion shifted because of how I was treated, and how others were encouraged to treat me afterward. When someone likes your product and is actively trying to buy it, dismissing them because of misunderstandings—especially without ever sitting down to work through them—is deeply disappointing. Let the photos and inspection speak for themselves. Maybe the issues bother you, maybe they don’t. But what should bother all of us is a system that can quietly damage someone’s name and opportunities for simply asking questions or feeling unsure in a very complex process. At the end of the day, I didn’t want to leave Alturas. I liked their homes. I tried everything I could to make it work. And I wish this story had ended differently.

We moved to Idaho in 2020 and bought our first Alturas home. The quality, workmanship, customer service and communication with in Alturas was top notch! We sold that house in 2025 and purchased another Alturas home!! Best decision ever to stay with this outstanding home builder who continues to build beautiful and quality homes and their customer service is at the top! Thank you Alturas and I’ll continue to spread the word 👍🏻

Buying our new home with Alturas Homes has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. The craftsmanship of the home is outstanding — from the finishes to the layout, everything reflects thoughtful planning and high standards. After closing, the follow-up has been just as impressive. Any questions we’ve had were met with quick, friendly responses, and it’s clear Alturas truly cares about their homeowners long after the keys are handed over. We also absolutely love the community. The location is perfect, the amenities are well-designed, and the park is amazing — it’s become one of our favorite parts of living here. The neighborhood already feels welcoming and well-planned, and it’s exciting to see it grow. We recently had problems with our toilets. Alturas was great to work with by providing an excellent plumber, Kevin to remedy our issues. A shout out to Trojan Plumbing and Ashley from Alturas! We highly recommend both for your future needs!

Didn't have the best experience we will try here in the next month or too. They just seemed busy/disorganized will try again. Tried again, they seemed very hoity-toity again, This time we tried going to look at the nampa homes.
