I brought my 2022 Toyota 4Runner in for 120k mile maintenance at Alvin's Auto Center in Willow Glen, San Jose, and it was by far the best experience I've had at any shop in the city. What really stood out was their technology — the way they handle inspections, communication, and customer service is on another level.…
Alvin's Auto Care shop, the best shop experience I've had in decades, quick, acurate, reasonable, professional, friendly.
Don't take your vehicle to the dealer. Take it to Alvin's. I went to the dealer. A simple oil change? $500. Their shop rate? $360 per hour. My purge valve was on the Fritz. Vehicle intermittently had no power while driving and I thought it was a result of a warranty issue with the exhaust system. It was not. They…
Find integrity at Alvin’s Auto Center - stop letting other repair shops exploit you! After being stranded for six months and losing $8,000 to incompetent mechanics, I was at my breaking point. Then I found Maintenance For Mom’s who lead me to Alvin’s. Unlike the others, Sam and Anthony didn't just "guess"—they…
Brought my Lexus 250 and Honda Civic here for engine oil and filter changes, tire rotations, AC repair, etc. Have been going here for years for basically any car maintenance needed. Tony and staff are extremely helpful. Also huge plus you can schedule appointments online!

It was a good service and great warranty when buying a car from the owner of the shop. Great service.
The folks at Alvin's are top notch! They are honest, communicate well, do great work and are fast! I brought in a recently purchased vehicle which they diagnosed, estimated costs, and repaired it. They only used genuine OEM parts. I highly recommend them.
I took my 2011 Subaru Tribeca to Alvin’s for multiple long-needed repairs. I found Cal to be very knowledge, polite, professional and courteous. He prioritized the repairs and explained every sufficiently. The car runs great, and I will definitely return.

Excellent customer service
Alvin and Tony run a very clean and competent repair shop. They offer fair estimates and perform timely service and repairs. My 4-runner was returned in excellent condition after the repairs were complete. This is a testament to the experienced technicians at Alvin's. I will return to Alvin's for my 4-Runners maintenance and repairs.
Our Elantra needed a new engine after a catastrophic failure and they arranged for a replacement and install. Very friendly service and reasonably priced.
Anthony is the most fair and honest auto repair for Prius that I've encountered in years. His quotes are accurate and he has a very good system to keep you informed of repair work. I've already referred others. Alan
