I had some new fireplace logs installed in my fireplace last December. After the recent cold spell (October 2026) I noticed that the flames weren’t burning evenly and were turning one of the logs black. I went by American Chimney to show them some pictures of the problem. The very next day, Randy and his helper came out and corrected the problem! No charge. They are a really great group of people to work with.
I have used this place to help with problems on my gas fireplace several times , they have always been helpful , knowledgeable at a very fair price

We apologize, Mr. Maynes, for the miscommunication regarding the complimentary assessment of your fireplace. The assessment was to be a work in Monday afternoon if time in the schedule permitted. As we discussed on the phone Monday afternoon, our techs were on a job and unable to make it to your house that day. We also discussed that the manager had reviewed your fireplace pics you emailed and that he was confident we had all the info necessary to install an electric fireplace should you decide to purchase one. I can't praise this company enough. Randy showed up the day I called and assessed my situation and gave me the estimate to completely replace my chimney from the ground up. He and his crew showed up the next day to begin work and worked diligently until the job was completed. They are courteous and thorough in their work. Their pride in what they do shows in results. In May of 2023, American Chimney & Masonry installed a new cap to my chimney. Three years later when it blew down they came and put it back up. They waved their normal charge for doing this and explained to me how it fits on the chimney. Their service was fast and considerate and very much appreciated. I am keeping them in mind for any future needs. I recommend them for efficiency, workmanship, economy, and as a pleasure to do business with.
