From the first call to Mark Krenn, owner of American Solar Energy Systems, to discuss my options for replacing my conventional hot water heater with a much less expensive to operate heat pump water heater, I knew I had found a contractor I could count on. No pushy sales, no bad vibes, just calm experience and knowledge of the product he installs. I was considering a Rheem ProTerra system until he convinced me of the quality and support provided by Bradford White. I ended up going with an 80-gallon model to support the needs of my home. I was given an incredibly fair price - thousands less than the larger local marketplace competitors - that was backed up by an extremely competent installation. The whole while, Mark kept in touch with me, answered my MANY questions, and offered sage advice where it was warranted. I absolutely cannot recommend him enough. He has over 40 years of experience in the business of low-energy hot water systems and knows the technology inside and out. He worked cleanly and efficiently while respecting our space and we ended up with a beautifully finished installation. Give him a call. You won't be disappointed.

Had new solar panel system installed along with a new efficient hybrid water heater. Mark helped us get a system to maximize our power generation while staying within JPL's tier 1 limit (10kw). . There were a few hiccups with condensation and draining for the new water heater which took a 2 visits to address. Now everything is installed and up and running smoothly, my system generates about 20kwh on a cloudy day up to 50kwh on a sunny day and this is only November. I expect this to be a great investment for the future,<br><br>I am currently working with Mark to resolve issues with my system.

This is our second time dealing with Mark at American Solar Energy Systems. After 17 years and many storms our solar panels Mark installed decided enough is enough as a hole developed in the panels. We decided to go with a heat pump and gotten several quotes. Dealing with Mark in the past was great and easy which was a factor in our decision. We ended up having Mark install a heat/cool pump.
