Great doctor and staff. Very thorough exam and great information. Extremely happy! Especially liked the Thoroughness of our first exam for our rescue and explanation of everything. Received the notes right afterwards via email which is also very helpful. Was able to get products that were recommended but they didn’t push anything. Even told if I could get products cheaper elsewhere or not.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Wilcox and the entire team at Animal Health Center of Leawood. They provide exceptional care for our dogs and offer thoughtful guidance that gives us complete confidence in every decision regarding their health and well-being. What truly makes this practice special is the genuine connection they build with their clients. We recently had to say goodbye to one of our dogs, and during that incredibly difficult time, the kindness and support we received meant more than I can express. Every time I've called, a different team member has taken a moment to let me know they were thinking of us and keeping us in their prayers. Those small acts of kindness are a reflection of the remarkable people who work there. It is rare to find a veterinary team that combines such expertise with such heartfelt concern, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for our family.

Many of our pets, dogs and cats have had excellent care from AHC of Leawood!

I love Dr Wilcox and all the staff at Animal Health Center of Leawood. They always go above and beyond and I trust them completely with our pups, Sophie and Finn! The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Dr. Wilcox cares deeply about her patients and is very good at recognizing issues and coming up with the best path for treatment.

The veterinarians and entire staff are great! They listen, show concern, and interact extremely well with our dogs... and us. I highly recommend taking your pet to see the staff at Animal Health Center of Leawood. I really appreciate that after listening to my concerns and my pet's symptoms, they conduct a thorough exam, and then discuss options regarding the courses of action to take - along with the pros and cons of the options.

Dr. Wilcox is amazing. She and her entire staff are so nice, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care. The facility is always clean. I like that she takes your entire pet’s wellness into consideration. The best vet in KC!

8/7/26- We have been with Dr Wilcox and this practice since they first opened their doors. Would not take my pets anywhere else. Knowledgeable on the latest technology, skilled and compassionate. The doctors present options depending on how you want your pet to be treated. 4/9/26 - We have been with Dr Wilcox since she started her practice several years ago. We love Dr Wilcox and her entire team! They are knowledgeable, compassionate and up to date on the latest information/procedures. Compassion and attention to detail is off the chart!! 11/28/25- Love Dr Wilcox and her team. Knowledgeable, compassionate care. Dr Wilcox listens to me concerns and takes time to address my questions 11/20/25 - We love the staff and the care they provide. Dr. Wilcox and her team are amazing! We have been coming to Animal Health Center of Leawood since they first opened and would not go anywhere else. The personal attention, range of knowledge and overall care is outstanding. 12/4/23 - We have been with Dr. Wilcox from the beginning:) She is a wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable vet with excellent bedside manner. The care we receive is exceptional. Today we saw Dr. McClain and had the same positive experience with her. This practice is wonderful and I can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else. The level of care and detail provided about my dog's condition, treatment and prognosis amazing. I love that they walk me through the x-rays, explaining the diagnosis and what to expect! Their follow up and attention to details is awesome! We LOVE Dr. Wilcox but more importantly so do our pets- Champ (a 150lb Great Pyrenees) and Wasabi (a rescue kitty)! She is amazing with all animals. She gets down on the floor and communicates with them. She understands the expense of having pets and is great about presenting cost- effective options. We recommend Animal Health Center of Leawood every opportunity we get!

Great communication. No wait, we arrived at his appointment time and they got Teddy right in. All of the staff was very friendly. Dr Vaughn was detailed in going over Teddy's health. Was really glad we brought him here as his new Vet service. Really appreciated the kindness and care they showed for Teddy.
