Annie DeCastro Design Group

Annie was recommended to us by our architect. We moved into our house, a modest, outdated but well-cared-for cape, about a year ago and were finally ready to take on a refresh of the space. We were struggling with the "big picture" vision to ensure a cohesive style and functional approach to maximize our small space with little kids, so turned to Annie for concept design help. Annie was responsive, professional, and really took time to understand what was important to us and what our style preferences were. She was a total delight to work with and came up with some really creative ideas that would have never occurred to us. We primarily worked with her on concept design but she also helped us to source items for our bathroom and did an awesome job at that. We loved working with her and would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Annie just helped us with home interior design improvements in 3 rooms in our home. She is an absolute pro. Here is what I love most: - She has a process that is clearly outlined and communicated. - She has great resources and is constantly adjusting to what the situation requires based on our goals (and budget!) for the project. - She gives us her HONEST opinions. Part of the value in hiring and paying for a professional is getting professional advice. As a realtor, I do the same with my clients because, as a customer, I appreciate it. Of course, as clients, it's up to us whether we take the advice, but that's what we are paying for, and I want that when I work with a professional. We love the final results and could not be happier. If you have any home interior design projects, big or small, I highly recommend reaching out to Annie. You will not be disappointed!

I worked with Annie DeCastro Design Group to refresh the decor of 3 short-term rental apartments and style the units for professional photography. I had a tight deadline and budget. In spite of these challenges, Annie quickly understood my goals and decor preferences and executed seamlessly make my vision a reality. I was so pleased with the final results and feel that the spaces are truly a reflection of what I was hoping to achieve. The apartments feel like my own and the decor is now a standout feature of our rentals (without feeling cluttered) that I consider a huge value-add. It was such a pleasure to work with her and her team. She is impressively professional, organized and such a talented designer. I highly recommend her services.

I had an excellent experience working with Annie on multiple projects in my current home, including my complete bathroom gut, basement, and bedroom renovations. She replaced every light fixture in my home with beautifully curated pieces; picked beautiful wall paint colors which friends have since used in their homes as well; sourced beautiful furniture and decor for every room in my house. Prior to these renovations in this house, Annie helped realize my vision on other projects in my previous houses. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned and executed with great attention to detail. What I really loved and looked forward to were the renderings and sourced materials and furnishings that she would send me. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free, staying within budget while still delivering beautiful, high-quality results. I especially appreciated her ability to recommend skilled, reliable contractors who helped bring the vision to life. What really stood out was how collaborative she was—she listened carefully to my ideas and preferences and incorporated them seamlessly into the design. It truly felt like a partnership. I next look forward to working with Annie on my kitchen renovation which I hope will take place in the next few months. I highly recommend Annie to anyone looking for a talented, organized, and easy-to-work-with interior designer.

Annie has been an amazing interior design partner for our multi-stage old home renovation. She is so easy to work with and respected our budget and time constraints throughout the project. Her finish selections were all so beautiful and she connected us with some great trade people who we hope to use again. Can’t recommend working with Annie enough!

Annie worked magic on my small one-bedroom in Back Bay. It was a tricky space to design, but she made it feel functional, cozy, and so stylish. I absolutely love it!

I am a professional woman (physician), with many skills, but decorating is not one of them. My husband and I moved from our large house into an apartment in Brookline a few years ago. I had no idea how to decorate our rather small, 2 bedroom apartment, which also had oddly shaped rooms. Thank goodness I found Annie! She is very talented, extremely easy to work with, and cost conscious. She LISTENED to what I asked for, and delivered it! I wanted a calm, clean, low key look at this stage of our lives, and she created this environment in style! She is a very professional, kind, attentive and skillful woman. I highly recommend Annie DeCastro as a superb resource.

Annie was a delight to work with! She helped us refresh our South End brownstone and made our vision for a colorful home come true. We greatly enjoyed teaming with Annie - she brought incredible ideas to the design including custom built-ins, custom bookshelves/desk area and fantastic furniture choices. Annie teamed with our GC to ensure the construction phase went off without a hitch. Annie was also a great partner - she was open to feedback, she pivoted quickly when we wanted to push the design plan and was always responsive and professional.

Annie did an excellant job in listening and understanding what we were looking for in our new home. She incorporated our request of preferred companies to use and was able to take our our personal style considerations and make something above and beyond what we could imagine. Her attention to detail and communication from our initial inquiry to the final touches with accessory’s was fantastic. She answered all our questions in a timely manner and helped us figure out details that we didn’t even think to ask about.

Annie was great to work with! She is responsive and prompt and considers my preferences yet broadens my view of what can be done with the room. I appreciate her professionalism and flexibility and love what she did for our space.
