Yesterday my husband and I took our American English Coonhound, “Ozzie,” to his annual healthy exam visit where he got his yearly vaccines and a nail trim. The team was exceptional. Throughout the entire visit, their team use treat/food enrichments to keep Ozzie happy and excited to be at the vet. Ozzie absolutely loved the staff and their treats. Couldn’t recommend this vet more.
Perfect for pet parents like us that take your pet on weekends when off from weekday work. Ozzie will continue to be using Appalachian Vet Hospital for all his vet/grooming needs!

Just want to say, Appalachian Veterinary Hospital is outstanding. I like the fact that the rooms are equipped with a scale, computer and vets medical tools. All examinations are done in your room and the vet is explaining everything to you, They make sure that you understand everything that is going on with your pet before you leave. Dr. Straka is outstanding and so is her team! This veterinary hospital saved our Siberian husky many years ago from parvo, only vet we will ever go to!

My dog is large and gets scared when she goes to the vet. Both the doctor and her specialist handled Cookie expertly which contributed to making this a successful visit.
