We sought out Katie with Arcadian Photography to be our newborn photographer in 2021 and have kept her by our side for family photos ever since. What a joy it has been to see our family evolve through her artistic lens.
This year we had our 8th photo session with Katie (a testament to her incredible ability to always capture the most beautiful photos), and once again, she delivered.
I didn’t have a good idea for where I wanted family photos this year, but Katie did. She suggested Swan Island Dahlias in Canby, OR.
As Mamas, we know family photos require a lot of effort. Outfits need selected, hair cuts need scheduled, snacks need to be packed for the littles. Us and our family members need to feel good and look good. Everyone has their work cut out for them.
But the most beautiful thing about working with Katie (outside of the phenomenal final photo gallery) is that once you get to the photo session, everything feels easier. You enjoy your family. You breathe in the last of the summer air. You watch your babies take big whiffs of cream colored dahlias. You get to be in the moment.
Thank you Katie with Arcadian Photography for continuing to capture the beauty of our little family, and making it as easy and enjoyable as possible. We treasure watching our babies grow up through your unique and artistic lens.

Katie is hands down the best photographer I've ever worked with! She shot my maternity photos as well as my baby's newborn photos, and they came out absolutely gorgeous. The whole experience was so relaxed. She is incredibly kind and made us feel completely comfortable, guiding us through every pose. I truly enjoyed every single minute, even with a newborn who wasn't always the most predictable model! Katie handled it all with patience and ease, and the conversation with her along the way was just as lovely as the photos.
Her attention to detail is amazing. She has a real eye for flattering poses and beautiful composition, so every shot came out just right, honestly, we looked like magazine models!
The studio is beautiful; Katie communicates clearly about what to expect and the website to view and order photos is super user-friendly. As a bonus, you don't have to stress about outfits, she has a whole wardrobe of gorgeous clothes for both moms and babies. I 100% recommend Katie and Arcadian Photography! You won't regret it. We'll definitely be back for annual photos of our little one! :)

Katie was incredible with all three of my children and her studio was so warm and welcoming. She was so gentle with our newborn—I was amazed she could take her out of her car seat, change her diaper, and put her in a new outfit without even waking her up. When she did wake up and wasn’t interested in sleeping, Katie patiently rolled with it and captured the sweetest moments. She was also fantastic with my older kids and kept them engaged without making them feel pressured.
What stood out most was how thoughtful she was. After the session, while I nursed the baby, she sat and read to my antsy 5-year-old. It was such a simple act of kindness, but it meant so much and made me feel truly supported as a mom.
The photos are absolutely dreamy, her communication was wonderful, her prep resources were incredibly helpful, and her turnaround time was so fast. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and will treasure these photos forever!

We had the pleasure of using Arcadian for our newborn photos twice and would highly recommend Katie’s services! We had our newborn photos with Katie and she was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Professional, warm, quick to respond, and so helpful. Also, an absolute master of her craft! I was blown away by her work- we’re in love with our photos. It’s not easy to work with a fussy newborn (and an even fussier toddler), but she worked magic! She was so patient and kind with our kids.
I’d love to work with her again in the future and would recommend her to anybody looking to capture a special moment with their babies!

Katie at Arcadian Photography is fantastic! I went to her studio for my maternity photos where she has a great, relaxed setup as well as lots of clothing options that I could use to take away part of the stress of planning a photo shoot like this this. She then came out to my house to shoot our newborn photos and was very thoughtful and trustworthy in how she interacted with my baby, husband, and I.
Not only did our photos turn out great, but we had an overall very positive experience. We booked the maternity/newborn bundle with her, which gets you a discount as well as a photo album including both sessions. I appreciated how Katie assembled a draft the layout for us in a way that made sense, and I didn't have to do it myself during this time which is already busy for us.
Katie has great communication, is prompt in her emails and preparing photos, and is very calming to work with even if you're not comfortable in front of the camera. I highly recommend booking her for your family photography needs!
