It is so rare to get honesty and reassurance from a veterinarian that doesn’t want to simply pack the tab for the sake of profit. This is one of many reasons I choose to support and trust a strictly family-owned pet hospital without the corporate fluff. The father/son team is extraordinary with explanations, problem-solving and keeping costs affordable; we just visited with yet another senior rescue dog we very recently adopted with many medical issues. Dr. Matt listened intently to all of our concerns, carefully reviewed the test data from the previous vets/rescues that cared for this sweet angel, and offered several options for the dog to be as healthy as he can be. Thank you SO MUCH for your kindness and expertise, Dr. Matt! I am confident Einstein’s golden years will be healthy and joyful as you help us navigate his healthcare plan going forward like you’ve done with my other rescues!

Every time I visit, the care and attention of the doctors is just why we keep coming back. With 3 cats, it’s a challenge to keep up but I have found Archdale Animal Hospital available and affordable and being on a fixed income that really matters.

After two disappointing experiences when my previous veterinary practices were sold to new owners, I decided it was time to find a new vet for my almost 14-year-old dog. I'm so glad we found Archdale Animal Hospital.
My dog has seen both Dr. Barry George and Dr. Matt George, and we've had great experiences with each of them. Everyone at the front desk is friendly and efficient, and I especially appreciate that they ask at check-in whether I'd like an estimate before the appointment. After holding my breath and wondering what the bill would be at my previous practice, that kind of transparency is refreshing. Their prices have also been very reasonable.
The team takes the time to explain things without ever making me feel rushed. I never get the sense they're trying to upsell unnecessary tests or treatments, they simply focus on what's best for my dog.
It's been such a relief to find a practice we trust. I'm grateful we found Archdale Animal Hospital and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, especially if you're looking for a caring, honest veterinary team.

Dr. Matthew George is amazingly caring and compassionate. I've been taking my cats here for years and every time he is courteous, always personable, professional and attentive. If you are looking for a new vet or would like recommendations, I can't recommend Archdale enough. They are amazing.

Most upsetting vet experience I’ve ever had. The veterinarian (senior vet) was extremely rude and disrespectful. Instead of showing compassion or professionalism, I was belittled as if I was attempting to get over on them regarding paying prices. The vet even yelled out “Rogue his records” before we walked out the door. During one of the scariest medical situations I’ve had with my cat, they didn’t care at all. Vet visits can already be stressful so being treated this way only made matters worse. Respect and empathy should be the bare minimum. I happily paid my $471.00 (Exam, fluids, meds, & labs) elsewhere, and received better care than I ever had at this place. I would NOT recommend this practice based on such an uncomfortable experience.

Father and son business. Been going there with dogs for over 30 years! No need to make an appointment before you go. This past year I moved a 3 hour distance away. I trued out a veterinarian office nearer to me and instantly knew I'd made a mistake. I was just at Archdale yesterday with my dog's. The drive is worth it!
