We had a very disappointing experience with Sands Outdoor Services. We hired them for what was presented to us as a landscaping cleanup and weed removal project at our commercial property. Based on our conversations and the description of the work, we reasonably expected the weeds to be thoroughly removed and the property left looking clean and presentable.
Unfortunately, after paying more than $4,000, the work appeared incomplete and many weeds and problem areas remained. The property did not look professionally cleaned up or maintained to the standard we believed we were purchasing.
When we contacted the company and asked them to return and complete the work, we were told that the remaining work was not included in the quote. This felt like a bait-and-switch because the final result did not match what we understood the landscaping cleanup to include.
We gave the company an opportunity to address our concerns, but they declined to complete the remaining work without additional charges. Based on the quality of the work, the price charged, and the way our concerns were handled, we cannot recommend this company. Businesses should request an extremely detailed, itemized scope of work before hiring them and should not rely solely on verbal explanations of what a “cleanup” will include.

Hello Reva,
Is this for the spots car wash clean up completed on central? The bid was to remove weeds and trash, and spray property with a pre/post emergent spray to help maintain the ground cover. We did what we said we would at the cost provided. Company came back now wanting bushes to be pruned and shaped and additional landscaping to be completed. The bid was for weeds over 4 feet to be knocked down and sprayed. We also have not been paid for this work yet and I believe this review was sent in because we were going to file a lien. I have all the communications of what was to be done it was you that bait and switched our agreement and then kept going back weeks later to try and add more. Our bid was very clear so if you had other expectations of pruning and cleaning you should have expressed it as such.
Very pleased with the work completed at my property! I had dead grass in both my front and back yards which I wanted to replace with gravel. At my request, Luke promptly came by to look at my property. He subsequently provided me a quote that beat the competition. The work crew showed up to work on the agreed upon day and got the job done in a timely fashion. The end result was exactly how I envisioned it. The crew also did a great job cleaning up. I highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs.
I have used Sands Outdoor over the years. They have always been prompt with there appointments and have been very helpful with my irrigation repair issues and getting me estimates for my yard work.

My husband was looking for a landscaping company to fix some of our landscaping valves and found Sands Outdoor Services. He contacted them and spoke Luke. Luke came out and was able to assess the problems with our system quickly and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and managed to fix our problems in a short period of time and at a reasonable cost. We are so glad we found this company! They are family owned and operated. It's nice to have a company that you can count on when you need them. We would highly recommend them for any landscape needs.

"ASAP" is right! I called Sands Landscaping mid-afternoon, Luke came by to evaluate my yard, and he had two guys come out for leaf removal within a couple of hours. And what an amazing job they did! I will definitely be using them from now on!
