Aspire Academy - Dyslexia Tutoring

This place is amazing! Several of my children have graduated from the reading program at Aspire Academy, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. Before attending Aspire Academy, my children had been diagnosed with dyslexia and were struggling in school, especially with reading. The reading program completely changed their outlook on reading and, more importantly, helped them gain confidence in themselves as learners. It has been incredible to watch their progress and see them go from struggling and feeling discouraged to becoming more confident and capable readers. Aspire Academy has made such a positive difference for our family, and I am so grateful for Heidi, Lisa, and the staff and the work they do to help children with dyslexia succeed. I would highly recommend Aspire Academy to any family looking for support for a child who is struggling with reading. The impact they have had on my children has been truly life-changing.

We were able to identify my daughter’s dyslexia in the middle of first grade and started tutoring with Aspire. While the diagnosis was overwhelming in the beginning, we were grateful for Heidi’s knowledge, guidance, and truthfulness. We began tutoring and started to see a noticeable difference in our daughter within just a couple of months. We chose to do tutoring 2 times a week during the school year and bumped it up to 3 times during the summer. We took breaks and went at pace that worked for us. The tutors we had were phenomenal, especially Ms. Deni. When we started our journey, my daughter was not really reading and struggling with sounding out words and forming them. Now she’s in 6th grade, recently graduated and is reading at nearly a 10th grade level (9th grade 10th month according to a recent assessment). Her confidence has blossomed and I am forever grateful for the tutors and Heidi’s guidance along the way. The investment in my daughter and her future are very much worth it!

When I son was in 6th grade, he was unable to memorize the keys on a keyboard. This task finally pushed us to get him screened for dyslexia after years and years of challenges reading and writing. I asked teachers repeatedly what they thought about his challenges, only to learn later that they really weren't equipped or allowed to speculate about conditions like dyslexia. Our son benefited tremendously from Aspire and even volunteered after school once he completed the program. I can't say enough good things about Aspire. It became a home and safe space for our son. The tutoring was both academic and therapeutic - restoring his confidence and hope for success at school. I only wish we would have started earlier in his life.

My son has attended Aspire for one year. What I love about Aspire is the focus on his personal needs to progress. His tutors know exactly where he is and what direction he is headed. I love that they’re touching base with his teachers at school too to make sure everyone is on the same page to help him succeed. I love how after each session I am filled in with his progress or set backs and any questions I have are answered. Sometimes I don’t know what to ask since Dyslexia is all new to me, but they explain so easily so I understand how to support my son. My son is more severe, so his progression is slow, but it doesn’t matter, at Aspire, their focus is 💯 geared towards him and his needs. I also love how they pick the best tutor for the child’s needs. Not all kiddos learn the same way, some learn by sitting and getting through the lesson and others learn with movement and breaks. Aspire will pair your child with the best tutor and if they feel your child isn’t with the right tutor, they shift them to another, but not to worry because they’re all great there and very well educated on Dyslexia. We are so blessed we were told about Aspire and are so thankful we are able to get our son the help he needs. It’s amazing the progress my son has made in one year. I see the confidence he has in his reading and it makes my Mama heart smile and makes him smile too. I would definitely recommend Aspire if you’re unsure where to go. At least tour the facility and meet Heidi, the owner and also a tutor. She’ll answer all your questions.

Aspire Academy is great. I brought my oldest daughter here because I had concerns about dyslexia. Heidi is so well versed in dyslexia and other issues that can affect reading. She also cares so much. I saw so much improvement with my daughter that I decided to bring my second daughter for tutoring as well when I started being concerned. I'm really happy to have found this place!! Well worth it!

Aspire has helped both of my children excel in learning how to read and greatly improved their spelling skills. I am looking forward to signing up my youngest this summer. This program really has propelled my children into better literacy skills.

Aspire Academy is top notch tutoring! Heidi, the owner, is very passionate about providing the safe space and resources to assist students on their journey. Our daughter's tutor, Carly, has been impeccable. She is always there to answer questions, give updates/progress, and her experience/knowledge are incomparable. My daughter started her lessons in September 2023. She just finished her first chapter book on her own. A book she couldn't put down. What a feeling!! Aspire Academy has helped and continues to help her find her reading/writing/spelling power!! We are beyond grateful to them!
