I’ve been working with Nicole Barone for almost a year and a half with weekly therapy sessions, and I can honestly say she has had such a profound impact on my life. I’m currently the calmest and most at peace I’ve been in years, which says so much about the kind of therapist and person she is. Over the time we’ve worked together, Nicole has helped me navigate an unhealthy work environment that ultimately led to a medical leave, complicated family dynamics, and all the emotions, stress, and life changes that came with getting married. Through it all, she has helped me gain perspective, work through difficult situations, and find my way back to myself. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about her. She makes me feel heard, supported, and understood, and I feel incredibly lucky that I found her. She is truly the best, and honestly, she might be the best person I’ve ever met on the internet - which is saying something, considering I also met my husband on the internet. If you’re looking for a therapist who can make a real, lasting difference in your life, I cannot recommend Nicole enough.

I love coming to Astute. The atmosphere is very calming and therapeutic. Ning is THE BEST! I also enjoy the yoga class with Emily. Lastly Nicky always comes down and opens the stairway for me because I don’t ride elevators. I really appreciate that!

I absolutely love Astute Counseling & Wellness Services! From the first time I came in, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. There’s a level of warmth and attention here that really stands out. I also really appreciate that Astute offers so much more than traditional counseling. Having different wellness services available in one place makes it so much easier to prioritize yourself and your overall well-being. Whether you’re looking for support, trying to take better care of yourself, or simply need a space where you can breathe, reset, and focus on YOU, I definitely recommend Astute. Important Update: I spoke with Becca after seeing her reply to my review. She was extremely upset that I left the review, and criticized me for doing so. She never once asked about my experience or what led to me writing such a review in the first place. She is clearly someone that cares more about the reputation of her business than quality of care provided. My experience with this practice was deeply harmful. During couples therapy with Amanda, I consistently felt like my emotions were being either minimized or dismissed. My partner and I began couples therapy because we wanted a safe space to work on our issues, and instead felt like I was being solely blamed for all the issues in our relationship and left feeling that there was a strong bias in how conflict and accountability were interpreted, and that my concerns as a male partner were not taken seriously. Therapy ultimately made me feel more confused, isolated, and psychologically distressed rather than supported.

I am writing this follow-up because I was unable to respond to the reply on my original review. Since posting it, I have been in contact with Becca regarding the traumatic experience I had with one of the therapists at the practice. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns were met with empathy or compassion. Instead, the response felt defensive and focused more on the potential impact to the business’s reputation than on the experience I described. Given that Becca is a mental health professional and the owner of the practice, I found this response especially concerning. In my experience, the priority appeared to be protecting the reputation of the business rather than acknowledging the harm I felt I had experienced as a client.

I love the instructors and the classes and it's a very calming and nurturing environment as well. Very happy I found this studio!

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!💕I did acupuncture yesterday with Ning . She made me feel so much better. It was my first time & I did not hurt nor did I really feel anything. Definitely would recommend eve try one to go to her! Jeannette

Kathryn’s classes are outstanding. She shares a wealth of knowledge and expertise, making each session both engaging and effective. Thanks to Kathryn, I’ve truly fallen in love with Pilates. I have also taken her Myo-Yin and Yin Yoga classes…again, 12/10! The Astute studio itself is peaceful and welcoming, and I always enjoy relaxing with a cup of tea on the patio after class. I wholeheartedly recommend Kathryn’s classes to anyone looking to improve their well-being and enjoy a supportive community.

Clean, inviting, and beautiful space. Warm tea and amazing products available. The sound bath with Lisa was relaxing and rejuvenating! Will be back!

Went to 6pm class. There was a group of people outside and they never let the class in. Did not pick up phone or reschedule Update: they fixed it/ made up for it, seems like it usually doesn’t happen
