A friend recommended Athens Moving Experts to me for my move, and they did an excellent job. Zach and Ed were professional and handled everything smoothly. They knew well what they were doing and I had no doubts everything would be handled with care. From figuring out how to position the truck in the street, moving…
I needed a very fast move from Cary to Pennsylvania. AJ at athens arranged for the move and was able to schedule a day a lot sooner than I even expected with such short notice. I was quoted by a few different companies (most of them broker scams) but Athens came in at more than fair. Freddy and Andrew were very…
Play showed up 2 hours early, and got the job done in just over 3 and a half hours.
Had exceptional service from Mikey, Johnny, and Shaun this past weekend. This team works well together and they hustle! I was fortunate to hire movers last minute, but even more grateful that this team was fast, professional, and took care of belongings. I needed packing, disassembly, and assembly help. They were…
Ibrahim & Jarel were simply amazing! They took exceptional care of our items, and it showed by how they handled them it was of great importance on their part to do so. Mikey and Johnnie was a dream team! Thanks for making our move seamless.
We’ve already recommended Athen’s Moving Experts to our friends. Mikey, Jakir, and Shaun were extremely professional, packed our things with care, and had us moved into our new home in far less time than expected. Glad we picked this team to help with our move!

UPDATE (July 2, 2026): After the branch manager officially refused my requests for a billing correction and told me the case was closed, I updated this review and filed a formal complaint with the North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC). Within 24 hours of filing the state complaint, the company completely…
crew was very skilled in handling a very heavy player piano
I had a small move out of an office I was looking for help with. From start to finish the whole experience was smooth. Youness and Ibrahim arrived early and got the job done quickly. They even managed to get a heavy piece of furniture down a corporate stairwell and through a narrow hallway upstairs in my home. I…
Dishawn, Manny and Kyle were consummate professionals, very prompt and took great care of us. They’re great people and I can’t recommend them highly enough!
My experience with Athens Moving Experts was nothing short of amazing. Mikey, Ali, and Youness all demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism. They showed up right on time, did a quick walkthrough, staged all needed supplies, and got straight to it packing everything up. They handled all of my belongings…
Ibrahim and his team did a phenomenal job moving us from Greensboro to Cary. Fast, efficient, and took care with everything we had. Moved an entire house up three flights of stairs and not a word of complaint the whole time. If you’re looking to move these are the guys you want doing it.
Everything went so well- from getting an estimate, reminder check ins and day of labor. Ibrahim, Rich, & Ryan were awesome. We hired them to load a truck we would drive. They worked efficiently, were respectful of our property (first movers we’ve ever had that didn’t leave a single mark, scrape or ding something)…
Yoseph, Azuz were tremendous and great to work with. Will definitely be recommending Athens to anyone that needs movers.

I’ve used Athens for a few moves over the years and so has my family. They are extremely polite, professional and make the moving experience fun. This last move was with Mike, Monty, Johnny, & Ryan. They moved my entire 3,000 sq ft house across town in under 8 hours including breakdown and setup. Couldn’t have asked…

Great moving team! Thank you Yoseph crew leader and Johnny, Malek, Freddie, Ibrahim and Youness !! Highly recommend Athens Movers.
Freddie and Ryan helped us move some heirloom furniture from my wife's parent's house in Northern VA down to the Raleigh area. They left Raleigh in the early morning, drove all the way up through VA, and then came back down to NC in the same day. Not a scratch on any of the pieces. I highly recommend these two, and Athens in general.
Zak and Johny did a great job moving all our furniture and they did it so fast! Only took a couple hours. They wrapped everything up nice too!
I do not recommend this deceptive company. I literally had them move me to the end of the same block less than a mile and one of my glass shelves was destroyed. I had asked up front if something was damaged would it be replaced and I was told yes. At no point during this process did anyone explain to me that they…
Monte and Ben moved my stuff and they were great and my new house had 0 scuffs on the walls after the move. I called 4 moving places and Athens had the lowest prices.
Yoseph and Pharaoh (my apologies if names are misspelled) were very kind and helpful! I only had a few things to move and they completed the job in a very timely manner, carrying everything up three flights of stairs. All fees and charges were as expected and they did not damage any of my furniture. I really…
