I needed a very fast move from Cary to Pennsylvania. AJ at athens arranged for the move and was able to schedule a day a lot sooner than I even expected with such short notice. I was quoted by a few different companies (most of them broker scams) but Athens came in at more than fair. Freddy and Andrew were very…
I’ve had great experience with Athens Moving Experts. The crew, Alex, Michael and Johnny, were very efficient, careful and skilled. They expertly wrapped and secured all my belongings They also dismantled the bed and later set it up-something I really didn’t want to have to deal with. All my belongings arrived at my…
Id give them a hundred stars if I could. Yoseph, Azuz, Andrew and Johnny moved an extremely precious baby grand piano with such care and attention. No rushing to the next job, no throwing stuff around. Each piece was carefully dismantled, packed and loaded, and then the same on the other side. Friendly,…
I moved by myself a year ago, and this team of movers took better care of my belongings than I did. I was genuinely impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail.
Mikey and Johnnie was a dream team! Thanks for making our move seamless.
I had the pleasure of working with Ibrahim, Mikey, and Johny from Athens Movers for our across town move in the Research Triangle. They did an absolutely amazing job. Without question will recommend and use them again.
UPDATE (July 2, 2026): After the branch manager officially refused my requests for a billing correction and told me the case was closed, I updated this review and filed a formal complaint with the North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC). Within 24 hours of filing the state complaint, the company completely…
I recently used Athen Moving Express to move my baby grand piano, which is a cherished family heirloom, and I could not have been more impressed with the experience. Mike, Ed, and Rich were professional from start to finish. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and they were incredibly…
I had a small move out of an office I was looking for help with. From start to finish the whole experience was smooth. Youness and Ibrahim arrived early and got the job done quickly. They even managed to get a heavy piece of furniture down a corporate stairwell and through a narrow hallway upstairs in my home. I…
Always calling on Athens Moving for personal care and professional service. Thank you Freddie and Rich for another great job!
Mikey and DiShawn were quick, careful and easy to communicate with throughout my move process yesterday. All of my items were handled with great care. I’m sure all staff with Athens is awesome but Mikey and DiShawn have a special place in my heart for making this move less stressful for me. Thank you so much <3
Ibrahim and his team handled our treadmill with care but more importantly they were friendly and respectful to us throughout the whole process.
Athens Moving Experts came through for me when other moving companies quoted me outrageous prices for moving a Jacuzzi from Apex to Roxboro. Ibrahim, Mikey, & D Were prompt and professional. After seeing them in operation for the first 5 minutes, it was apparent they knew what they were doing! I will definitely use them again!
Freddie, Jared, and Melvin were absolutely fantastic! They did an amazing job and I’m so happy! I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family and will be coming back anytime I need more movers
Our moving team with Ibrahim, Freddie, Twin, and Ryan did an excellent job with our cross town move. It was a 4 bedroom move, and was mostly furniture with some odds and ends that were clunky to fit into boxes. They were way more efficient and careful with wrapping then we would have ever been. Finished in just…
Great job! Mikey, Ben and Oday worked quickly but with great care and did a wonderful job completing my move! Would definitely use them again.
I’ve used Athens for a few moves over the years and so has my family. They are extremely polite, professional and make the moving experience fun. This last move was with Mike, Monty, Johnny, & Ryan. They moved my entire 3,000 sq ft house across town in under 8 hours including breakdown and setup. Couldn’t have asked…
Mikey, Ben, Rich, and Oday were excellent for our move. They showed up on time, were professional, courteous, and just made an overall stressful experience very smooth and easy. Would absolutely recommend!
I have use Athens now a couple times and they have always been very professional, friendly and hard working! Not to mention they are very careful with your belongings. Shoutout to Ibrahim, Freddie, & Dishawn who helped us with some large furniture and an incredibly heavy safe? Thanks!
Great service. They really took care of all my big furnitures from packing to disassemble to moving to reassemble. I give these guys an A+++ rating
Yoseph, Youness, and Johnny were fantastic movers—on time, professional, and very careful with our belongings. They worked efficiently, were friendly and respectful, and made the whole move stress-free. Highly recommend this team!
Monte, Ben, Dishawn, Farooq, and Mikey were absolutely amazing! They made my move easy and completely stress-free. Athens Moving Experts may not be the cheapest, but they are 100% worth it. We used them a few months ago to move my father-in-law, and there was no question who we’d use again. I’ve had bad experiences…
Mike, Jonny and Youness were so incredibly helpful during my move to Durham from Raleigh! Super efficient, kind and overall great to work with.
I gave the gentlemen from Athens five stars because they deserve it. I normally use friends and family to help me move but chosing them was a great decision because they made everything seamless. Joseph, Rich, and Youness were very professional and never complained once. I've always been hesitant about movers so I…
Ibrahim, Freddie, & Dionte did a terrific job in a very effective amount of time. I would definitely use them for future moves. They all deserve a raise for the level of service they are performing .
I recently hired Athens Moving Experts for my move, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Freddie, Dionte and Johny are the crew who moved all my items. From the moment they arrived, the crew was professional, polite, and clearly knew what they were doing. They handled my furniture and other items carefully,…
They were very professional and worked very quickly but they took extra care to make sure everything was well protected and moved everything with careful purpose. Yoseph, Youness, and Amos were very friendly and very professional and they finished my move quickly and everything was moved perfectly. I will definitely use them again if I move again.
This team worked really hard. They did packing and moving for us. Did a great job with both. Wrapped furniture well to protect it. We would definitely book them again.
Excellent communication from booking until move was complete. This is the third time I have used Athens Moving and I wouldn’t consider using any other company. Mike, Pharaoh, Khalil, and Chico did a great job!
Mike, Ed, and Jayden were awesome. They were kind, courteous, neat and wonderful to work with.
Exceptional work!!! They finished quickly and were able to take additional pieces without a problem. Very kind and respectful. Would absolutely book again.
Ibrahim and his crew did an excellent job in getting me moved from my old place to my new. They were organized, thorough and professional and made sure everything went exactly where I needed it to go. Would highly recommend!
Great moving team! Thank you Yoseph crew leader and Johnny, Malek, Freddie, Ibrahim and Youness !! Highly recommend Athens Movers.
Alex and Cam were my movers on 8/15 and did a fantastic and efficient job of carefully wrapping all my furniture and moving it into my new apartment. I would absolutely use Athens again the next time I plan a move!
Zak and Johny did a great job moving all our furniture and they did it so fast! Only took a couple hours. They wrapped everything up nice too!
Athens Moving Experts made my move smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Pharoah, Justin, Rich, and Johnny were total pros - fast, careful, and incredibly courteous the entire day. They treated everything with care and made a long move feel easy. I couldn’t recommend them more!
Athens was easy to schedule, efficient in their communication, and extremely professional in their clarity on optional safety/furniture protection. Movers: Yoseph, Justin, and Dee made a 6 hour move take 3 hours. Would recommend for moving in the Raleigh area.
This is now my third time moving with professional movers, and Athens Moving Experts was by far the best experience I've had thus far. We had a long move from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and the team at Athens did a great job walking us through the process, getting us a reasonable quote, and helping us prepare.…
Evan, Rob and Muhammad did a wonderful job!!! I’m so impressed with how they packed the storage unit I didn’t think it would be big enough. They were efficient and very careful, I can’t recommend them enough!
Great experience from start to finish. Price was very affordable so was able to leave a nice tip for the guys. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a moving company. Great job Mike and Team!
The service was wonderful! The move was done very professionally and with great care! couldn’t ask for more!
These dudes got it done! First time every using movers and I’m so glad we did! Well worth it. Very professional and friendly. Never stopped moving and made sure I wanted everything where it was suppose to go. I’d recommend the team I got to everyone! Thanks guys.
My family and I just moved to a new house about a mile away from the old one, and we used Athens Moving Experts to help with the larger items (furniture, appliances, etc.) Our movers, Zach, Troy, and Phil, showed up early, did an absolutely amazing job, and seemed to be having a great time while they did it. They…
Yoseph & Troy were extremely helpful and kind. I needed a large table moved and they were so careful, polite and worked quickly! Will use them for all moves or furniture transfers moving forward!
We have used this moving company a couple of times and each time the guys show up on time and ready to hustle! They take great care to wrap furniture and pad the walls around the entry door & protect the floors so they don't get scratched up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
They were awesome! Phil, Troy, and Zyire made the process so simple and easy. Would def recommend to anyone in need of movers.
My move was short, about 15 minutes from one location to the other. The Athens guys showed up with smiles and readiness, mind you it was HUMID AF and 80+ degrees. They moved several pieces of large, heavy, furniture up and down 3 flights of stairs. Not to mention, they wrapped everything to secure that my precious…
These guys moved a very large hot tub from a neighbors back yard to ours in less than 20 minutes. They were on time, professional and very capable. Would recommend them and use them again for another move.
Great experience with Athens movers. I used them twice this year for moving into an apartment and then from our apartment/storage units into our new home. They were polite, professional, and worked their butts off. Furniture was wrapped, floors were protected and they made sure everything was exactly where we wanted…
We have been repeat customers with Athens Moving. Whether it is local move or furniture rearrangement, they have been very helpful. They are customer oriented, understand the needs fully and do not hesitate to work around the requirements. We recently hired them back for some furniture rearrangement. Pharaoh Walker…
Athens Moving Experts did two moves for us within the same month. I've moved quite a bit in my years plus I used to manage corporate relocation for a Fortune 200 company. Athens, by far, is the best moving experience I have ever had. What makes them different? It starts with the first phone call and the…
Jalin and Shawn were very professional and amazing. We used them to load a truck and they carried heavy items like they were nothing. They did not play around and got the job done within an hr and we had a lot of stuff for them to load. Was shocked it didn't take them longer. Highly recommend them. Thank you for a great job
Can’t say enough about how great this crew was. Rasan, Adubb, Bull, and Kevin G, were focused, professional, organized, and extremely efficient. They worked around our painters that were still working on some loose ends, and provided the best care to our items. Can’t believe how fast they completed the job. Strong…
Athens moved our baby grand piano from Wilmington to Hillsborough. They did a great job and made the process easy from start to finish.
Extremely pleased with the professionalism of Zaid, Kevin Jr, and Teri. They exceeded our expectations and provided an awesome service. I would highly recommend this company for your moving needs
As someone who has moved 7 times in the past 10 years, I can't recommend these guys enough. Mo, Abdul, and Noor were FANTASTIC!! This was the first move that I've had to execute completely on my own, making the process daunting- however with Athens it was a breeze and made the whole process so much more bearable.…
I was very impressed with this experience! they arrived as they said and all wore mask. They carried themselves in a professional manner and made the experience stress free. Never had a baby grand moved before and I was nervous for them every step of the way but they didn’t flinch! They went over above and beyond…
The Athens Moving Experts team was super professional and quick with the move. We had a great experience!
I planned a piano move from my parents’ home to mine. The day prior to the move, I learned that they do not require their movers to wear masks during Covid in our homes. My parents are in their 80s and I am on Multiple significant immune suppression meds / infusions. There are plenty of moving companies that follow…
Zaid and Toma were awesome! Both super professional and friendly! I’ve used Athens moving twice and they’re always amazing!!!
Our experience with Athens Moving Experts reflects the 5 star rating they have. We were so impressed that we used them twice in the same week for two separate moves. Our first crew was Yoseph, Rasan, Pharaoh, Josh, and Al and our second crew was Monte, Scott, and Phil. Both crews had great service, were friendly,…
Athens Moving Experts were fast, prompt, friendly, and professional. They moved a heavy a$$ safe up a flight of stairs and place it exactly where we wanted it. They busted their butts in August heat. Jalin, Don and Creque were awesome, hardworking young men. They were polite and friendly and really worked well…
We called Athens (found on Angies List) this morning and they were here by the early afternoon. We needed an upright piano moved to a second floor room. The stairs had two landings, two turns, and was narrow. Two other moving companies said they could not do it (one had 4 guys) and told us we needed to hire someone…
BEST. MOVERS. EVER. My boyfriend and I just moved in to our new place and Yaya, Toma J.R., and Josh moved all of our stuff with efficiency and ease! I can’t recommend these movers enough! They were super communicative the whole time leading up to the move and during! They had a great attitude the whole time and made…
