After extensive research on Google, Yelp, and through word of mouth, trying to find a place that offers a truly comprehensive running analysis; along with actionable solutions to address any issues....we found Athletic Lab, and it exceeded our expectations. The assessment was for my 15½-year-old son, who runs long distance for his high school cross country and track & field team (3-mile, 1600m, and 3200m). Since he is still actively growing and had been experiencing some pain under both knees, we wanted to evaluate his form, strength, and any areas needing improvement. Our goal was to help him stay injury-free, improve efficiency, and avoid wasting energy as he continues developing as a runner. From the online intake form to the follow-up communication by email and phone, the entire process was professional, efficient, and seamless. The location is a little tucked away in a quiet office area, but there are 5–6 parking spots and we’ve always found a space available (a huge plus in LA). The spots are a bit tight, but parking alone is a win. The facility itself is incredible: bright, open, modern, and aesthetically designed, with high ceilings and a large garage door that opens for fresh air (a big contrast to some clinics that can feel stuffy). It’s equipped with all the latest technology and everything you’d expect from a top-tier sports performance facility. Athletic Lab PT also has private meeting rooms, two well-stocked restrooms with thoughtful essentials like hair ties and deodorant, a shower for those needing to head to work after a session, a mini fridge stocked with hydration and snacks, and a comfortable front seating area for parents waiting during appointments...as I have to sit and wait for my son when he has a session. Dr. Alley Gray performed my son’s running assessment, and she was fantastic. She measured his mobility and flexibility, conducted a detailed treadmill gait analysis with photos taken from every angle, and tested his strength in multiple ways. Afterward, we received a thorough report outlining her findings, along with clear recommendations on how to address the issues and an estimated treatment plan. The overall goal was to optimize my son’s running mechanics, power, and efficiency so he can stay healthy and continue pursuing his goal of running in college. Dr. Alley Gray is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and understanding of my son’s needs. He genuinely enjoys working with her, which says a lot. We’ve been extremely happy with our experience at Athletic Lab PT and highly recommend them to any serious athlete looking to improve performance and prevent injuries.

Finally! I’ve been struggling with 2 chronic injuries (neck + hips) for the last 10+ years and I’ve finally received the care I needed. I probably tried PT 4 times previously with temporary success. Thank you to Courtney for creating a holistic program for me that allowed me to treat both injuries at once. We progressively built a workout program over 6 months that reduced my flare ups and made me more confident in the gym. It’s been two months since my last session - and I’m still feeling great! It was always a highlight of my week to spend time with the community and team at Athletic Labs. I miss y’all! HIGHLY recommend Athletic Labs!

Ten months ago, I came to Lyssa at Athletic Lab after sustaining two completely separate and unrelated injuries that had left me at zero activity. Before that, I was running several days a week and practicing yoga regularly. By the time I met Lyssa, I felt discouraged and defeated after seeing four other providers with no real answers or progress. Lyssa was different from the start. She accurately diagnosed what was going on and created a clear, thoughtful plan for recovery. That plan included working with her in physical therapy, a realistic routine to follow at home, and a referral for a procedure that supported the work we were doing together at Athletic Lab. Beyond her clinical skill, Lyssa is warm, funny, easygoing, and incredibly smart and knowledgeable. She made the process feel manageable and hopeful when it had felt overwhelming for a long time. Today, I am fully back on my feet. I recently completed a half marathon, have returned to yoga, and at her suggestion added Pilates, which has made a meaningful difference in my overall health. The recovery has not only been physical but mental as well, helping me regain confidence in my body again. I cannot recommend Lyssa highly enough. She truly changed my trajectory!

I can’t recommend Lauren and Athletic Lab highly enough. I’m in my 30s and a former college soccer player with a long history of injuries, and for the first time in years I actually feel better than I did in my 20s. Their approach went way beyond generic exercises — every session felt thoughtful, personalized, and focused on getting me back to real performance, not just “pain-free.” Thanks to their work, I’m now playing soccer multiple times a week with confidence and without constantly worrying about re-injury. Truly transformative care.

I had a wonderful experience with Courtney! I had a slew of running related injuries that were preventing me from running more than a few miles without severe pain. After sessions with her and following her treatment plan, I was back to normal and stronger than before. While the services are not cheap, you’re getting what you pay for, which is high quality physical therapy.

I’ve had an amazing experience at Athletic Lab Physical Therapy and Performance Training working with Kelsey Loeffler! I came in with lingering knee pain after leg break surgery, and Kelsey has helped me make incredible progress. I've begun running and playing tennis without pain! Kelsey is knowledgeable, attentive, and encouraging throughout every session. She tailors each workout to my needs and makes sure I understand how each movement supports my recovery. She’s also been so responsive — I can easily email her with questions between sessions and will always get a quick response. The online platform is easy to use and includes clear videos and photos of each exercise, which makes it simple to keep up with my program at home. I’m so grateful for the care and support I’ve received here. I highly recommend Athletic Lab PT to anyone recovering from an injury or looking to get back to their sport pain-free!

Kelsey is amazing! I was in Santa Monica for 3 months for work and right before I arrived my knee started hurting as part of my first marathon training. Kelsey was able to quickly identify the issue and get me on the road to recovery while still maintaining my training. The entire studio staff is super friendly and clean and I looked forward to my session each week. Thank you all!
