Austin Art Garage at a glance
Reviewers highlight the gallery's extensive collection of local artwork, including ceramics, glass, and prints, noting that staff are generally friendly and helpful with selections. Customers frequently cite reasonable pricing for many pieces and the availability of hands-on craft activities. However, a recurring criticism involves poor follow-up communication regarding custom framing requests, with some customers reporting that inquiries went unanswered for weeks.

Reminds me of Austin when I lived there 40 years ago, whimsical and fun.

When you walk into someone's house, you can pretty much tell where they shop. Target? World market? Walmart? It's all about the art on the wall. Don't be so predictable! Don't be a slave to retail. Go be original and support your community at the same time! Find fun and interesting art that means something to you and makes your space uniquely you!
Excellent local art, big pieces, and small pieces across many price points.
I recently purchased artwork and my experience was stellar from start to finish. Sullivan made everything fun and extra special for me. I will be returning for all of their events.
Great collection of local art. We had the pleasure of meeting JC Sanduval there. He gave us a proper tour. And yes; the prices on all the artwork there makes them affordable. Lighting is perfect and there is plenty of room to move around.
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Art was engaging and accessible
I am writing to formally document a deeply troubling experience I had as a customer at your establishment. From the outset, the interaction was uncomfortable and unwelcoming, creating a reasonable impression that my presence was neither desired nor respected. During the encounter, a comment was made that was particularly disturbing and inappropriate. Specifically, a remark referenced the possibility of my being found deceased near Lady Bird Lake. Regardless of intent, this statement was alarming, disheartening, and entirely inconsistent with acceptable standards of customer interaction. Such commentary is especially concerning given the context and carries serious implications for personal safety and dignity. Additionally, there was a billing discrepancy at the conclusion of the transaction. An explicit agreement was reached on a purchase price of $80. However, at the point of payment, I was charged $85 without prior notice, explanation, or consent at the time my card was swiped. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to your establishment for the foreseeable future, nor can I recommend it to others. I believe it is important that this matter be reviewed seriously, as no customer should be subjected to treatment of this nature.
Same things most other galleries have
Amazing place, I love it when they play really gentle jazz music in here.
