Rosa with Austin Wedding Planners is a dream to work with! I've had the pleasure of collaborating with this company for over 10 years. Every wedding & couple is given their 100 percent commitment to excellence, through top-notch communication, logistics, timelines, layouts and beyond! Ensuring that their day will not only run smoothly but look and feel effortless.
They truly care for their couples, matching them up with Vendors in the industry that align with their vision.
From a vendors stand point- I never have to worry about anything when working with Rosa. Her attention to detail is a life saver! She is so experienced and knowledgable, 10 out of 10.
As owner of Westbank Flower Market, I will have to say that working with Austin Wedding planners has always been a seamless experience from start to end. The owner Rosa Gibson is so very attentive to her client and vendors relationship and that makes the entire endeavor that more pleasant and enjoyable. It has always been a pleasure to work with her and her team.
She and her team are on point with all details providing clients and vendors with the best direction including a perfect timeline document in advance for day of event installation. I know for a fact that they are tops when it comes to their customer service. Rosa watches over every aspect from start to finish. As a vendor of Flowers, it has always been an absolute pleasure working with her and the client she represents. She has extensive experience in many related fields including catering food and beverage, Venue management, sourcing all rental items to name just a few.
I would definitely put them in the forefront for choosing someone to guide you through the process .
As a wedding photographer, working with a great planner makes such a huge difference. Rosa is organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about creating a seamless experience for her couples and vendor team.
From detailed timelines to beautifully designed events, she handles every part of the day with so much thought and intention. That allows me to focus on capturing the moments!
Rosa is the wedding planner you want if you care about both the big picture and the tiny details.
My husband and I got married in April 2026 in Dripping Springs, and our wedding was anything but standard - we blended a Baptist ceremony with a Persian Aghd, which meant two distinct traditions, two sets of family expectations, and a sofreh setup that most planners have never touched. Rosa didn't just accommodate it; she understood it. She asked the right questions early, researched what she didn't know, and treated both ceremonies with equal reverence. That alone would have made her worth every penny.
But what really set Rosa apart was her vendor coordination. She managed our florist, caterer, officiants, photographer, DJ, and rentals like a conductor - everyone knew where to be, what to do, and when. The timeline she built was meticulous, and she proactively flagged conflicts I never would have caught (load-in windows, ceremony transition timing, even how long the Aghd would realistically take vs. what we'd budgeted). She negotiated thoughtfully on our behalf and was honest when something wasn't worth the spend.
Day-of, she was unflappable. A few things went sideways behind the scenes - they always do - and I genuinely didn't hear about any of it until weeks later. That's the mark of a great planner: you should feel like a guest at your own wedding, and Rosa made sure we did. My husband and I were fully present for every moment because we trusted her completely.
A few specific things I want to call out:
- She built a custom timeline that accounted for both ceremonies and gave our families clear expectations
- She coordinated directly with our Persian family on Aghd traditions so I didn't have to translate between worlds
- She handled a last-minute vendor issue with zero drama and advocated for refunds and credits when service was anything less than promised
- She kept us on budget without ever making it feel transactional
If you're planning a multicultural wedding, a Hill Country wedding, or honestly any wedding where you want to actually enjoy the day - hire Rosa. She's organized, warm, deeply experienced, and somehow makes the whole process feel less like a project and more like a partnership.
We're so grateful. Thank you, Rosa!
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Austin Wedding Planners. We went with the wedding advisor package. We found them generally unwilling to provide opinions (I would ask questions about something and all I’d get back is "well every vendor does things differently"). They were overly pushy about preferred vendors (for instance, I heard from our venue who were contracted to provide our table settings that Austin Wedding Planners tried to get them to use one of Austin Wedding Planner's preferred vendors without talking to me about it) and they made some expensive oversights with the vendors that they’d recommended.
For instance:
They insisted a florist they suggested would not give us an a la carte (vs. full design) package. They did.
We reached out to a florist AWP recommended with a minimum for full design. When we got that quote back it was clear they were struggling to get to that number and were suggesting more florals than we actually wanted. I saw they also offer a la carte options. I asked Rosa to ask about it. She said no, that that was only for elopements. I was really excited about them so I emailed them directly to ask if it would be an option. They immediately agreed. After I told Austin Wedding Planners the florist would do a la carte for us Rosa called me stressing out. Who would set up and break down the flowers? I said we would figure it out after our call with them. It turns out they were able to do both for a modest fee.
Another instance, Austin Wedding Planners said our tenting company would not allow our venue to set up lighting in the tent. They did.
I asked our venue which had string lights if they’d be able to set up lighting in our tent (our rain back up plan). The venue said yes. Rosa said no—that the tenting company wouldn’t allow it. I followed up with the tenting company (who were not on the call). They said our venue could set up the lights.
These two things would have cost us over $4000 if we hadn’t followed up. Is it possible these vendors gave me different answers than they gave Austin Wedding Planners or they changed their policies recently? Sure. But given the premise of the advisor package is that you have a relationship with these vendors you should be getting me better deals not worse ones than if I negotiated on my own.
Austin Wedding Planners have clearly been doing this for a long time and I think if you needed a day of planner this could still be a good pick for you.

Austin Wedding Planners pride ourselves in providing quality personalized customer services. We are saddened by your feedback.
I invite you to reach out so we can discuss this further.
Your wedding day went well. It was an amazing and beautiful day! We were happy to assist you where the venue needed help for setup and other services.
We were thrilled to hear you were happy on the day of. You both looked lovely and your guests and family were so nice and complimentary. We loved seeing everyone dance.
On our last communication we had with you, you thanked us for a great day and appreciated where we stepped in to make sure things went well with the venue and their catering services. We were exited to hear you appreciated that we protected you on a lot of the logistics on the day of. We did not want you to worry about anything. We were happy you were able to enjoy your day. We were honored to be on your team.
The venue who catered the event it became immediately obvious that they were not able to keep up with replenishing the food for the buffet service. They did run out of some menu dishes. Austin Wedding Planners assisted their staff where we could to make sure it ran smoothly for guests/family to be served the full meal.
Based on our Wedding Advisor-Pre-Planning Package we do recommend vendors. We are always open with the couples wanting to check on other vendors. We love working with vendors we have not worked with before. We are there to help with any questions and offer opinions based on our working relationships we have with the vendors. We had monthly calls/emails to review questions, opinions, and how the vendors would work. Of course, all vendors do offer different services and on what they offer. The pricing is determined based on the clients customized needs for their wedding day.
For the table service. AWP was checking with the venue contact since you had a rental order for the tenting and chairs with another rental company. I did ask the venue manager and you about how it would work so we could help you stay on top of it. It was explained the table service was covered under the venue/catering package during the tasting. The venue would use a different rental company. I have this conversation with all of the caterers/venues the couple picks. Most of the time the caterer handles all of the the table service. AWP was working with the other rental company for the tenting and chairs. We wanted to check if AWP needed to add the table service. We want to help in any way to make sure you received your rentals needed.
For the florist. I was not aware the florist I recommended that they could do an a la carte service. Based on our past experiences with the florist I understood this would only be for elopements. I have been accustomed with this floirst that they would require a minimum service. I did follow up to make sure I understood their setup and breakdown for the day of. We wanted to make sure so you would not have to worry about this on your wedding day of. This is part of our services for the pre-planning who is responsible for setup and breakdown. We do follow up with all the vendors. We also check with the client. We were thrilled you were able to receive these services.
Regarding the tent services. Rental services can be rather strict with their policy and procedures. When we were reviewing on our call with the venue contact regarding adding their lights to the tent. They said they could. I did indicate that the rental company may not allow the venue to install their lighting inside the rental tent. I was not sure. I did want to check for you. I did inform the venue contact and you that I would contact the rental company. I was informed they would allow the venue to install their lighting on the rented tent. We were thrilled that you were able to cancel your tent rental due to the weather holding up.
We do wish you the best of everything.

Rosa was an excellent coordinator and planner for our wedding! At every point during the day, she was conducting the event and making sure everything went perfectly. When our caterer failed to show up on time, she was on the problem before we noticed it, called them, and got it fixed immediately. When vendors or family members had questions, she knew the answers. My (now) wife and I were able to relax and enjoy the event, comfortable knowing that Rosa had the details handled!
Rosa also worked with us throughout our planning process: helping us find vendors, making sure we were hitting deadlines, and covering all our bases to get a wedding planned in the middle of a busy wedding season.
We can't recommend AWP highly enough!
