Customers frequently praise the punctuality, communication, and reasonable pricing of AZ Deck’s pool resurfacing and patio services. However, several low-star reviews report that the installed decking cracked or flaked within a year, with complaints that the company failed to honor warranties or provided inadequate support for necessary repairs.

AZ Deck did a great job with my cool decking. It looks great. Any issues that have come up they have addressed them promptly. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their pool decking done.
A truly outstanding experience with AZ Deck. Vaughn and his team made our pool deck like brand new! This is not just a repainting as other companies may offer; this is a complete and thorough resurfacing. The texture and color look great and have enhanced not only our pool, but our entire backyard area. Given the amount of work that went into this project, the price was very reasonable. Don't bother with any other companies that may promise a "new looking surface", go with AZ Deck and get the real thing.
Thank you so very much , taking care of our customers is our top priority. If we can be of any help in the future please don't hesitate to reach out to us . THANK YOU AGAIN .
Very happy with the job and service. The contractors came out when they said they would and were able to accommodate some last minute changes on my side. Punctuality is something you rarely see anymore and AZ deck hit all the notes. Vaughn and his crew are awesome.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALLOWING US TO PROVIDE YOUR COOL DECKING NEEDS, IT WAS A PLEASURE WORKING WITH YOU .
Choose a less expensive, more established company. We specifically selected AZ DECK because they heavily promote their “engineered” process and the fact that the owner is a chemical engineer. We paid a premium believing their system was superior and would properly bond to our pool deck concrete. Unfortunately, this has been the worst decking product we’ve experienced. Over the many years we have lived at this property, we have had a pool deck resurfaced 3 times. AZ DECK was the least durable, for a product they sold as the best. The decking is pealing and cracking where it has never done it before !! The surface cracked and peeled again, leaving us with the same failures we were trying to avoid by choosing a higher-priced company. Despite the claims of a specialized chemical bonding process, my wife and I never observed any visible concrete treatment or preparation beyond what appears typical for standard resurfacing. Whatever process was represented clearly did not result in better durability. The premium price did not translate into premium performance. I strongly recommend homeowners look elsewhere. I contacted the sales rep and the company. Crickets. checked the BBB. "This business is NOT BBB Accredited" Follow up: Yes, It was YOUR company I texted Vaugh 12/30/2025, NOTHING I contacted AZ Deck through your web page NOTHING. see photo of text to Vaugh
Please reach out to us. +1 (480) 621-1279. I think you have mistaken our company for another company. Plz contact Vaughn or just remove this review. Thank you so much.
We had an outstanding experience with AZ Deck Pool & Patio for our cool deck repairs and resurfacing. Vaughn knocked it out of the park! From the first consultation to the final finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented. Our pool deck was worn, cracked, and faded from years of Arizona sun, and they completely transformed it. The resurfacing looks brand new, the texture is perfect underfoot, and the color came out even better than we envisioned. They took the time to explain the process, provide options, and make sure every detail was done right. What really stood out was their reliability and craftsmanship. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean, and stayed on schedule — which is rare with outdoor projects. The crew was respectful, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their work. Living in Arizona, having a quality cool deck surface is essential, and AZ Deck Pool & Patio absolutely delivered. Our pool area now looks high-end, stays cooler, and has completely elevated the look of our backyard. If you’re considering cool deck repair, resurfacing, or a full refresh, I highly recommend AZ Deck Pool & Patio. Excellent service, beautiful results, and a company you can trust.
Thank you Jamie. Reviews help us out tremendously. Ty Ty Ty.
Absolutely beautiful work.
Thank you Keith. We value your business and this review greatly.
Company is amazing, from the owner to the work they provide. They resurfaced our pool deck, as well as completely redid our patios near our house. Awesome work, and we have received nothing but compliments on the work and outcome. Vaughn, the owner, is an honest man who shares his passion with his customers. Vaughn was able to work with us even though were were not in town for the work, and always kept us updated with pictures and phone calls. From start to finish, he was always available for questions. This is definitely an owner who prides himself in his work and customer satisfaction. Would use them again and again!
We appreciate you Jim. Thanks for taking the time to review our work.
Vaughn , the owner came out & gave us a detailed deck & coping estimate. Within a few days we decided to go with AZ Deck because of his knowledge, and expertise. A week later, 3 workers showed up. Not on their phones, worked hard & long hours. Pool was covered & a worker cleaned up after laborers. The end result showed their pride in their work. Thank you AZ Deck!
Peggy, it was a pleasure working on your home. Your business and your feedback are much appreciated.
I’m a repeat customer for a reason. They do great work, on schedule, and at a fair price. (I know that should be the standard, but isn’t often the case.) Our neighbors have had the same experience. Highly recommended!
Thanks again James. We are so glad you returned and chose AZDeck once again.
I was very happy with AZ Deck. They were professional and efficient and did a great job. They left their workplace neat when they left for the day and cleaned up when the job was done. Their pricing was very competitive too. Highly recommend!!
TAKING CARE OF OUR CUSTOMERS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY, I'M SO HAPPY YOU LOVE YOUR JOB. THANK YOU AGAIN.
