B&W Marine Construction, Inc. just completed our new 80-foot bulkhead on a lagoon in Jacksonville Beach, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The project was completed on schedule in three weeks—even with two rain days—and stayed within budget. Site preparation involved removing a substantial number of weed trees and dense shrubs along the water’s edge. During that work, the crew discovered unexpected remnants of an old wrought-iron fence buried in the soil. The crew arrived early, worked hard throughout the day, and left our shoreline and property free of construction debris. Everyone was respectful and patiently answered our many questions. Our foreman, Shane, kept us informed about the project’s progress from start to finish. We obtained estimates from six marine contractors. B&W’s estimate was among the most detailed and fell in the middle of the price range. The lowest estimate was $24,000 less, and the highest was $43,000 more. B&W’s thorough proposal gave us confidence in our choice. Owners Katie and David Ward are hands-on and a pleasure to work with. We are extremely satisfied with our new bulkhead and highly recommend B&W Marine Construction!

Though I am sure my bulkhead project was niether the largest or most complicated project B&W has had to complete. I got the same professionalism, attention to detail, top quality as any other project that B&W has had to complete. From estimate to completion they took care to minimize impacts to my personal property such as the grass and sprinklers. They also took care to minimize impacts to my neighborhood such as work hours, maintaining a clean worksite, and communications with my neighbors. Every team member I met had a professional demeanor to their work and communication. I personally had estimates from 5 different contractors in the Jacksonville area and B&W was on par with their prices, skill level, and production of a high quality seawall. The B&W also was the company with a long history in the Jacksonville area with contracting versatile project build levels of seawall construction, specializing in a wide variety of types of seawall contracts and construction. All these key factors made my decision an easy decision to select B&W as the seawall contractors of choice for my project.

Responsive to initial request and coming out. Unfortunately it stopped there. Over a 2 week period, called 3 different times asking the status and was told each time they were waiting for a price on an item. Gave up and never heard from them. If not interested in small project they just needed to say so.
