It’s always great to work with Jason! He provided helpful recommendations for comping and soloing.

Drumming with John has genuinely changed my life. What started as a little hobby when I was 8 years old has taken me to performing at festivals and sold out venues, and every bit of it, John has been continually supportive. He's incredibly smart, kind, and funny, and just knows so much about drumming and music as a whole. There is no other drum teacher in the world like him, and I'll be sad to stop getting lessons after I leave for college this fall. Thank you for everything, John!
Oh my! Arí is a wonderfully knowledgeable wise and gentle teacher!!! I love her!
Jason has been a great substitute for our guitar lessons. He has jumped right in and taught so much.
We have been going to Backbeat for a year now and Kynwyn is a great teacher and support system for our Son. Were so impressed by the progress he has made.
We can't say enough good things about ALL the teachers at Backbeat. William is kind and supportive with our oldest, and Elan deserves sainthood for keeping our youngest engaged in *anything*. Bravo to Backbeat!!
Ari, our piano teacher at Backbeat Music Academy is such a good mix of talented, patient, edgy and kind.
Kynwyn is an amazing drummer and drum teacher. Sebastian can get easily distracted and she's been amazingly patient with him when he strays off topic. She's also done a great job getting him motivated to learn the drums and his progress on the drums is far more than I expected was possible. Sebastian looks forward to drums every Friday which has never happened with any other hobby he's tried. Kynwyn is great, and anyone lucky enough to learn an instrument from her will surely be happy. Georgina Dustin is an amazing music teacher. My son has autism and Dustin has been incredibly patient and flexible in his methods to encourage Alexander to try different things and slowly improve his skills. I was honestly shocked when Alexander finally sat down at the piano and was able to start playing some simple songs. In addition to music, he's also been very helpful encouraging him to improve his posture and providing details behind how the body works to explain why it's important. Despite Alexnder's complaints he's never stuck with an extracurricular activity as long as he has with Dustin. Georgina
Our daughter has taken drum lessons at Backbeat for a couple of years and it's been fun to see her skills grow in that time. John, her teacher, has inspired her and met her where her musical interests lay - like learning how to drum to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Thanks John and Backbeat!
We love Backbeat Music Academy! My daughter has been taking piano lessons there for over a year now, and we have had such a positive experience. She has worked with several instructors over time, including Bex, Ari, and Luciana, and every single one has been amazing. Right now she is taking lessons with Sam, and we highly recommend him! He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always brings such a great vibe to the lessons. We can clearly see my daughter’s progress, and it is obvious that he genuinely cares and gets so excited seeing how much she has improved (whenever she learns something new or finally masters a piece they have been working on, you can see the joy on his face). If you are lucky, you may be able to get a spot with him! NOte: He occasionally goes on tour with his band (which I think is awesome), but even when substitute instructors step in, the experience has always been great.
