I've been bringing my dogs to Bath and Biscuits for years, and I've always had a great experience. The customer service has consistently been excellent, and my dogs have always been treated with love, patience, and care. The new owner and groomer, Toni, has been amazing. She has taken the time to educate me on how to better manage my dogs' skin and overall health, which I truly appreciate. I'm excited to see the positive changes she's making to both the shop and the community by supporting and bringing more Black-owned businesses into the neighborhood. It's also wonderful to see that it's a family-owned business—Toni's daughter is always kind, welcoming, and helpful, and they make every visit feel personal. I also want to give a special shout-out to my groomer, Kayla. She has groomed my dogs consistently, and I always know they're in good hands with her. She pays attention to detail, is patient with my pets, and they always come home looking amazing. It's hard to find a groomer who is both reliable and consistent, and Kayla has been exactly that. Her dedication and genuine care for the animals are a big reason I've remained a loyal customer over the years. My only concern is with one staff member who frequently works with the larger dogs. On multiple occasions, I've witnessed her becoming impatient and handling dogs in a way that seemed unnecessarily rough or aggressive. While I understand that larger dogs can be more challenging, I believe every animal deserves to be treated with patience, professionalism, and compassion. Despite that concern, I still highly recommend Bath and Biscuits. Between Toni's leadership, Kayla's consistent and excellent grooming, and the welcoming atmosphere created by the rest of the team, I truly believe this business is headed in a great direction and look forward to continuing to support it.
Absolutely the best groomer in Sacramento!
Toni is great with my Chihuahua, she does wonderful nail trim she is gentle and caring.
The new owner/groomer cut my dog's ear. Full stop. Imagine someone pulling an earing from your ear. That is the size of the tear; I wish I was exaggerating. Overall, a very traumatic and disappointing experience for my dog and my mother.
While the employees/groomers are great, the environment is terrible. The owner is brusque and surly - she has on more than one occasion cut our dogs quicks when doing nail trims and never apologizes. When she is not there the environment is infinitely better. Our dog hated it here even after multiple tries.

They are really good to my fur baby. Update: I’ve been using them for years, since they first opened. My pup who needed regular grooming loved going there. One time a I brought my pup in for their scheduled appointment and a new groomer had taken him because our regular one was out sick. Well that groomer had injured my dog. I had to take him to emergency and get him stitches. The original owner was horrified and that groomer was fired and she paid for all medical bills. Yet I still took him back because I loved our regular groomer so much and that groomer continued to work there for a few years even after change in ownership. As the owners changed, we still went there cause of the awesome groomers we loved. One owner bought the place and didn’t know anything about grooming and it showed. Years passed and that pup has passed away but our two new pups don’t need much grooming but I bring them in for nail clipping. Usually just walk in and they cut them for us. Again there was a couple of new groomers that we took a liking to. They were so sweet and loving and you can feel their energy and love for their work and the pups they take care of. Fast forward to last year, my wife and I took our two pups in for the usual clipping and was meet with a new owner who was absolutely rude. We asked for clipping service and she asked us about the pups paperwork. Which I understood, but of course we didn’t have them with us and I told her we will be happy to bring them next time. She snapped back at us saying who doesn’t have their dogs papers with them at all times? I told her again that we’ve been coming here for years and that we didn’t know owners changed and new policies were in place. We were snapped at again and was told sorry there’s nothing we could do. For those continuing to go there I get it. There are some really amazing groomers there but I bet these new owners won’t last. Needless to say we never stepped foot in there again and found a new groomer. For each turnover in ownership it progressively gets worse.

My dog is 106 pounds of love. He is a retired service dog and needs extra love and attention. He is seen monthly for the deshed service and all the care is worth it for his comfort.

Pretty sure they're straight magic. My golden doodle looks amazing! Edit: that only happened once.
Hi JJ- I don’t see your name on our customer list. Can you tell me what happened after your fabulous first groom? I’d like to address it with the groomer, and hopefully, resolve any problems for you. You can always reach out to me. I’m the owner. My business card with my direct number is on the counter of the shop.
