I wanted to support a local, woman-owned firm for my prenup and found this practice. I worked with Susan who ultimately got the job done but the process was more stressful than necessary. I made my marriage timeline clear during the consultation and she said she could make the deadline. My now-spouse and I were down to the last wire due to her slow delays and edits to my prenup. It's not a good sign when I had to check in on progress when I haven't heard from her in a couple of weeks. I was also billed for her correcting mistakes she made. The billing team was great when I pointed them out. Susan sufficiently answered my questions, but it felt very reactive. Compared to my opposing counsel hired by my now-husband who responded quickly and added a bunch of prenup clauses I didn't even think of because I'm not a professional practicing family law. I was leaning on VV&S to help a fellow woman out.

I am finally getting around to writing this review after some time, but I feel it is incredibly important to warn others. Going through a divorce is already painful enough. While this firm initially seemed caring and understanding, the actual experience was a complete nightmare. Throughout the entire process, they made careless mistakes on my case. What made it worse was that after they went back to correct their own errors, they actually billed me for the time spent fixing their mistakes. On top of that, I caught multiple instances where their line items were double-billing me for the same work. The entire process felt incredibly disingenuous and unprofessional. It became clear that they were more focused on racking up erroneous charges than actually helping me navigate a difficult life transition. I ultimately had to fire them halfway through my divorce just to protect myself. I would absolutely not recommend this firm to anyone.
