Miguel is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. I needed support rehoming my elderly mother’s macaws because she could no longer care for them. He gave relevant advice on how to work with them, followed up with medical care, and kept me posted on each macaw’s progress and health as he worked to socialize them and find them forever homes! He is so thoughtful about placement, and makes sure the new home will be a lasting and happy match. He was incredibly responsive to my questions and supportive throughout. The bird rescue sanctuary is impeccably clean (no small feat if you care for birds) and he makes sure every bird in his care receives regular attention and socialization time. Wonderful place, amazing care, and a fantastic place to go if you are thinking about a feathered friend in your life 💕

I can’t say enough great things about Miguel. It was an incredibly hard and emotional decision to rehome our Amazon Yellow-Naped parrot due to an emergency situation in our family. Somehow, after coming across Bay Area Parrot Rescue, I immediately felt comfortable reaching out to Miguel — and I’m so glad I did.<br><br>Miguel is very professional, compassionate, and truly passionate about what he does. When we brought our parrot to his place, I instantly felt at ease. Even our parrot seemed comfortable — he actually fell asleep during our conversation and discussion about the adoption process.<br><br>It was extremely important to me to know who would eventually adopt him. About a month and a half later, Miguel informed me right away that our parrot had been adopted by a wonderful family. He even connected me with the new owners. Oh boy, how happy I was after speaking with them! I had a great experience adopting my senior blue and gold macaw from Miguel, he was very helpful and stays in touch even after adoption is final. His birds are all kept clean and well cared for and are socialized out of cage daily. Owning a macaw is such an incredible experience and I couldn’t be happier with the adoption process.

We had to rehome our two parrots and we’re so grateful we found Miguel. From the start, it was clear that he truly understands birds. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind.<br><br>As we got to know him better, we felt a huge sense of relief knowing our birds were in good hands. He sent us photos and videos of them out of their cage, on the tree stand, the coffee table, and even perched on his shoulder. They looked so comfortable, relaxed, and happy, which meant everything to us.<br><br>It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but we fully trust Miguel. I have really good experience with adopting bird with Miguel. He is very responsible for making sure the birds are safe and happy in their new homes. And a very patient to answers my questions.

Unfortunately we had to rehome our Yellow Napped Amazon Parrot. We did some research and we decided that Bay Area Parrot Rescue seemed like the best option. He offered to pick him up but we ended up dropping off, which allowed us to view his bird setup. They had a dedicated room with other parrots. He even bought a new cage. I was notified last week that my parrot was re-homed to another home with parrots. I have felt comfortable thru the entire process.
