DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! my dog had a great 10 day experience at beaches! Definitely recommend and will be back again! The staff was extremely friendly and you can tell the owner cares about these pups!
Thank you for the positive feedback, Jeff. Glad to hear you had a great experience, and we look forward to seeing your pup next time!🐶
PET OWNERS BEWARE! I have two beautiful male Coton de Tulears. I boarded my dogs with Beaches for ten days. One of my dogs who is diabetic received poor feeding and poor insulin administration. He lost 1.5 pounds in ten days and went blind due to the stress of Beaches environment and their lack of proper diabetic care. My other Coton was in perfect condition and when I retrieved him upon my return, his ear was matted and damaged. I took him to my vet who was so horrified she called both the previous and current owner of Beaches to report a very serious ear injury that required emergency surgery. My dog now has half an ear. The lack of care and diligence at Beaches is absolute outrageous. There are a few people out there who are in disbelief over this but they are most likely workers at Beaches or their friends. It’s pet resorts like this that give the industry a horrible reputation. I have the receipts for the surgery! Please take your pets elsewhere!
We met your two dogs on 2/6/26 for their evaluation day. Even with their advanced age of 9.5 years and medical requirements, the evaluation was uneventful and the dogs passed. They spent one additional daycare day with us on 2/23/26 before their board. The team recalled being unable to fulfill your request to cover them with an umbrella during their outdoor time, as it was a rainy day. Other than their fine white coats being wet upon pickup, the daycare day was uneventful. You dropped the dogs off for boarding on 3/15/26 and they were with us until 3/26/26. Both dogs stayed in the same bungalow as requested. They were energetic and the stay was unremarkable and both dogs left with the same energy and vigor they arrived with. On 3/30/26, when you first brought to our attention your dog had developed cataracts, we investigated and reviewed our processes and spoke with all Lifeguards who cared for your dogs. When we spoke on the phone the following day, we discussed their care in detail, including exercise rotations, insulin administration protocols and our process for separate feedings to ensure safe administration of your dog's insulin. We even utilized a paper collar to ensure there was no mix-up between the dogs and that the medication went to the right pup. I recall asking about their exercise routine prior to the board and you advised your yard was torn up so they have been spending most of their time inside with little activity. I also recall we ended this conversation politely and you stated you appreciated the care we provided and the call back. At Beaches our small size requires all dogs to be in group play during their stay. Over the course of the 10-day stay, your dogs were out in group play for several rotations each day adding up to hours of daily activity. This is likely much more activity than they have been used to in a while. On 4/2/26, a full seven days after you picked up your dogs, you called back and advised your other dog had to go in for surgery because he suffered a bite on the ear while in our care. This call ended with you hanging up on me. On this same day I spoke with your veterinarian and shared the details of our process for providing insulin and care for your dogs during their stay. I explained to her that the dogs receive a lot of attention being that there are two of them and they run around with long flowy hair and like getting pets from the staff. At no time did anyone observe any blood on the ear or any sign that there was an injury. I asked your veterinarian about how long ago she thought the injury took place and she indicated 5-6 days. Again, our call was seven days after you picked up your dogs. While Beaches is a great experience for the many thousands of dogs we have enjoyed in our care it is not a perfect fit for all. We feel for you and the medical needs your pups require and sincerely wish you the best in the future. For anyone else reading this with concerns or questions, stop on by! We would enjoy a chance to meet or speak with you and share the great things we have happening at Beaches each day.

This is our 2nd dog we've taken here and it's is absolutely amazing. Dog comes home happy, tired, and better behaved. They post so many photos of our fur babies you never wonder what they are doing. If you are looking for something where everyone isore than satisfied...you got to take them here!
Thank you, Curtis, for the feedback. We enjoy spending time with your pup!
My 2 dogs we're coming to beaches pet resort and loved it. Useally I never have a problem. This time I left them, I had them there for a week. I called the day before I had a friend that was going to pick them up to change my credit card on file so they can charge my card. I asked how the boys were doing and how everythingwas going. The receptionist said they were good, no complaints. Later when we come home from our vacation, our friend told us she has bad news from the beaches pet resort and that they wrote us a letter about our boys. The letter said, our 2 dogs were no longer allowed to be boarded at beaches pet resort due to there misbehavior, and lack of personal space. As confused as I was about the phone call with the receptionist and the letter, I went to speak with someone in person about the letter the next day. The manager was not available to talk, and the receptionist couldn't tell me much about the letter because she doesn't work in the back with the dogs. My dogs have been coming to beaches pet resort for 2years. I'm told trainers are back there with the dogs. My dogs are not aggressive twords others. Curious? Yes. But if you tell them "no", even if its 2-3 times (becuase my dogs are Huskies, they need to be told a few times) they end up listening. They do not bite or fight with other dogs. How is it that after 2yrs, and I have them around other dogs, they get band from this resort?? I had told the receptionist "if my boys were misbehaving, why wasn't my emergency contact called to pick them up earlier?" I was told, that the emergency contact is only used if they injure another dog or they get hurt... This phone call should be used to prevent a problem before it happens, not after the fact. I never went back to speak to a manager, instead I will be boarding my boys else where. So far I have gone to 2 different places to see and ask questions about there policies and boarding, and both have so far told me they know Huskies have a personality of there own, they are used to the behavior but know how to corporate with them, they have trainers on sight, and have other Huskies that boarding with them. Huskies are known to talk back or act like teenagers, but not aggressive, they are loving and playful dogs.
My boy Rusty always had a great time at Beaches and they were always great with reservations for him. I appreciated the photos of his day but definitely would have preferred to have a video option in case there ever was an issue. Always gave him his treats and made sure he was comfortable :)
Thank you for the feedback, Lin.
