Got me picture ready for my wedding! I ask Lizzie to make me look like a different person, and boy do I look different!! I am a new person with this gorgeous cut and color!
Picture this… Minnesota, 2026. ;) It’s your average mid-August day, when my preteen daughter tells me she wants to cut off most of her hair and dye it purple. (!!) As patrons of the local budget salon, I knew this level of transformation was going to require a different skill set. School was starting in a matter of weeks, so there wasn’t a time buffer to fix things if it went sideways. I needed to find someone I could trust with this undertaking, but come to find out it’s actually really hard to find people who are experienced at vivid color (also called Fashion Color, I’ve since learned).
So I used ai (don’t judge) to try to find someone who could handle this transformation without requiring me to part with a kidney to sponsor it. The results mentioned that Lizze at Beautifully Crazy by Lizze B might be worth the 30 minute drive for us based on her incredible reviews, local following, and experience with fashion colors. I’ll be the first to say ai gets a lot of things wrong, but with Lizze, it was spot on!
First of all, Lizze’s private suite in Milani’s feels comfortable and welcoming. She’s clearly put thought into the customer experience - from relaxing images playing, to her AMAZING playlist. The space feels private and calm. (Perfect for a mom who’s about to watch her daughter make irreversible decisions about her hair…)
Lizze took the time to connect with my daughter and understand what she wanted. It was clear she and Lizze were speaking the same language and sharing a vision. Lizze is one of those rare stylists who just gets it. As the coloring process began with the lift, and the foils revealed white hair, I was failing at masking my anxiety. Lizze was encouraging and compassionate, and told me to trust the process. There’s just something about her that makes you feel like you can actually put faith in those comforting platitudes. True to her words - my daughter absolutely came alive with her new look. By the time Lizze was finished, my girl was glowing. She was SO excited about her new look and how it represented her vision.
That’s the thing - Lizze REALLY listens to what you want. She has this incredible intuitive eye for what is actually going to look amazing on you, as an individual person. She doesn't just execute a request; she understands the person sitting in her chair and somehow translates their vision into something even better.
Whether you’re young or “experienced” like me, whether you’re looking at a basic trim, covering some grey, or going all-out for a full transformation, whether you’re a guy, a gal, or non-binary… Lizze is the perfect person to trust with your new look. She makes you feel comfortable, conversation flows naturally, and there is absolutely no judgment. The end result truly shows off her years of experience and incredible talent. It's no wonder she has a local following of faithful clients. Well, you can’t keep her to yourself, Hastings! I had such a wonderful experience! She was incredibly kind, positive, and genuinely listened to what I was looking for. I brought in an inspiration photo, and she did such a beautiful job adapting it to complement my coloring rather than simply copying the photo. The result made me feel absolutely beautiful!
She was so thoughtful throughout the entire appointment, and I really appreciated how comfortable she made me feel. She was friendly and easy to talk to, but there was never any pressure to keep conversation going, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and natural.
I left feeling confident, beautiful, and so happy with my hair. I would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be going back!

Not the best photos I could have taken but they show the cut and ofc I had to get my eyebrows done too! Lizze provides a decent amount of services! I even got a hair treatment! The prices are VERY reasonable too! That and ofc the conversation skills on this one! I also absolutely hate going to a salon keep in mind. I loved it! I also loved that it was like a private room and I could bring my kid and not have to worry about her getting away!
