We sent our 10mo the old puppy to Chris after struggling to get her to settle and feel like we were speaking the same language. After talking about what we were looking for, Chris took her for a 3 week board and train. When we picked her up it was like we had a different dog. She was listening, more comfortable and confident and could settle. Even heel on our walks! She now can stay with my husband in his office for a few hours at a time with very little redirecting. Chris was open to all our questions and putting things into terms we could relate to. Being such a big investment we wondered if we did the right thing after dropping her off and I can now say it was 100% worth it and I would do it again. We have had two follow up sessions and the continued support and reference of Chris's knowledge.

Chris Farr is an exceptional dog (and owner) trainer. I opted for the six in-person lessons because I wanted to know how to teach my dog myself and because I didn't want to be without my dog. After the first lesson or two, I was brain dead. There is so much I do without being aware that I'm doing it! Chris is extremely observant of both human and dog behavior, and he pointed out every one of the thousand things I did wrong (so that I'd learn). And those things matter so much to the dog! Chris stresses clear communication between trainer and dog, and now I see why! After our six lessons, I am so pleased with what my dog is doing. I know what I need to do to keep making progress, and at some point I want to do more! My dog is not a purebred dog who is going to compete, but she loves the work we do together and so do I. Chris teaches agility skills and I want to have fun with those things. I will definitely see Chris again.

It is difficult to fully express how thrilled our family has been with the results of sending our lab, Winston, to Chris at Best by Farr. Winston is a lovable, energetic dog with a big personality, but before training, his enthusiasm could sometimes make life a little chaotic. After spending four weeks with Chris, he returned home as a remarkably well-mannered dog who understands a variety of commands that have made an enormous difference in our daily lives. With three children under the age of 10, one of our biggest concerns was ensuring that our almost 70-pound dog could interact safely and respectfully with our kids. Before training, we were never completely confident that his excitement and zoomies wouldn’t overwhelm them. Since completing the program, our boys have become much more comfortable and confident spending time with Winston, both inside the house and while playing outdoors. The training Winston received has genuinely been life-changing for our family. Chris’s expertise, care, and results have exceeded our expectations in every way. I cannot recommend Best by Farr highly enough, and I would be hard-pressed to think of another service we have ever received that has made such a meaningful difference in our family’s quality of life.

Cannot recommend Chris and Best by Farr Dog Training enough. We took our two German Shepherd puppies to Chris for puppy training and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Chris was extremely patient with us and our questions which was very important because it was also a huge learning process for us and not just the puppies. Its was money well spent and they will be going back in a few months for their next round of training.

Chris and his wife were amazing with not only teaching me but also with caring for and training my dog Rudy. This was the first time I had ever paid for dog training in my life and it was certainly well worth the money. 10/10. Highly recommend! Very impressed with the end results! It's like I have a completely new dog!

Great experience. Chris was professional and it was clear he knew what he was doing. Our puppy made impressive progress in only a week with him.

Chris is great to work with! He makes training very easy and consumable for those of us that are not expert dog trainers. Our dog went to the week long puppy training camp and has made so much progress. We look forward to sending him to Chris’ adult training camp next!

We can't recommend Chris enough for the board and train program we did with our dog, Stella. Stella was 1.5 years old when we sent her for the 3-week board and train, and she needed it. She really only knew "sit" and "lay," and walking her was a struggle. By the end of the 3 weeks, she was almost a completely different dog. What really set Chris apart was everything that came after. We were moving internationally to Spain, and Chris made sure to research Spain's regulations ahead of time so that the methods and tools he used with Stella would actually be usable once we got there. Then, rather than just handing us a trained dog, he made time every single week for private lessons with us to make sure we knew how to correctly handle her before the move. My only regret is not doing this when she was a puppy instead of waiting until 1.5, though I imagine it would've been even easier at that age. Even so, the transformation and the value we got for the price were excellent. 100% recommend Chris if you want a trainer who cares about the outcome long after the program ends, not just the training window itself.
