Two and a half months of having my boat and not even a phone call. Very disappointed in the way the do business!

Shaun saved my weekend! I needed a helm steering assembly for my boat. After calling everyone in town without luck, he went out of his way to find a used assembly buried in the used parts trailer for me so I didnt have to cancel my plans. This was all very last minute, but he pulled through. Great place to go for your boating needs!

I found Matt the front desk guy to be argumentative and completely closed off to my perspective when discussing my bill. We had a small discrepancy over the bill and he was absolutely unwilling to even hear my side of the story without arguing with me. Charged me $37 to charge my battery. $180 to tell me my motor won't start. And another $55 to tell me that it only starts on starting fluid. All of this after I brought it in for new control cables. Only control cables. I brought it in and said please replace the control cables. They also charge me $180 to tell me that it was in fact my control cables that needed replaced... They also broke tab off of my hitch on my trailer. It was obviously broken and they failed to even mention it when I picked up my boat. The whole interaction felt slimy and forced.

Not only do I know the owner well, this is the place to go for parts storage, and tune ups. Highest Recommendation

Matt at Best Marine has helped me out of a few last minute jams and was able to get my boat fixed in a pinch so I didn't miss my vacation! Then the next year I was leaking some kind of petroleum product but couldn't figure out what or where from. Matt took time on his day off and met me at the lake to access the source, still with no luck he dug in deep and found a host of leaks from very unlikely sources throughout the engine compartment, mostly from hoses instead of engine seals etc. The work was reasonably priced and he got it done timely. I was still a bit dubious but we took it out on the lake and have ran it for two seasons now and it is dry as a bone, not a drop of oil anywhere! Matt is a very well trained and skilled marine mechanic, and a good trust worthy person. I'll never have anyone work on my boat again.
