They had everything we needed for my birthday shoot. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spot for pictures
Wonderful venue! The owner really cares about the community and is ready and willing to help out however he can!
Black owned -Video Production Studio, Pictures Music Videos etc! The only Studio in Huntsville like it! Friendly Owner! Check it out!!!❤️
I recently attended an event at this space. While I believe it would be suitable for photo shoots, this is not the best place for events as they apparently do not have a way to cool the bldg. It was ridiculously hot and humid to the point of severe discomfort.
Had the pleasure of supporting a network photo shoot here, and I must, for what this place does, it's amazing. Eddie and his team have everything you need. I'm not familiar with all of the equipment, suffice to say, there are a lot of different lighting effects, props, etc. Eddie is also very professional, always…
To say I’m happy with mine and my clients experience here would be an understatement, the owner was so nice and helpful along with the manager. From helping set up equipment (that they provided!) to making sure the lighting was perfect and that we had everything we needed. I would absolutely recommend this studio to other photographers and their clients!

Love the atmosphere great private events there!

Unfortunately the conditions of the studio was the result of several factors. One being a extremely hot day. Two, the time of day, the event was during the hottest time of the day, 2:00PM. Three, a large crowd in a relatively tight space, producing it own heat. All of these factors simply overwhelmed the Air Conditioning System despite bringing in extra equipment to try to mitigate the situation that occurred. We have since contacted several HVAC companies to assess the cost of revamp the current AC systems. Everyone of them agreed that cost will range from $30k - $50k create a system to accommodate adequate cooling for such conditions as stated above. As a result we will no longer be holding events that meet any one of the above conditions untiI an upgrade to the AC system is made. I sincerely apologize for your experience at the Black Umbrella Studio. Eddie Hurskin (Owner/Operator).

I know most people don't have a need for a professional photo studio, but if you ever do, I highly recommend this place.
Thank you very much.
If I could give Black Umbrella Studio more than five stars, I absolutely would! From start to finish, the entire filming and event-hosting experience was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, the professionalism, and the creativity behind every aspect of the process truly exceeded every expectation. The logistics alone were a dream — from setup to sound, lighting, timing, and transitions — everything was handled with precision and care. The team made production feel effortless, even when working with multiple moving parts. Their communication was on point, the energy was positive, and the environment was both inspiring and efficient — the perfect blend for bringing any creative vision to life. What sets Black Umbrella Studio apart is the experience. It’s not just a space; it’s a full-service, high-vibe production environment that understands the assignment every single time. Whether you’re filming, hosting, or producing, they make you feel like your project is the only thing on their radar — and that level of excellence is rare. I’ve filmed and hosted many events, but none have come close to the seamless, professional, and top-tier experience that Black Umbrella Studio delivers. A true gem in Huntsville — innovative, elevated, and unforgettable.
Thank you for the kind words J'Que! We are glad you enjoyed your experience and can't wait to have you back.

We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us, Mariah! Hope to see you back soon.
Booked the studio specifically for their cyc wall to shoot marketing footage os a large piece of equipment. I was traveling in from out of state and communication with Eddie was great! Everything went flawlessly on the day of our shoot. Eddie was very attentive to our needs and was one step ahead the entire time. Will definitely be rebooking when we need a great studio space for our shoots.
Glad you enjoyed your experience with us, Sparky! Looking forward to working with you again!
