I have three dogs of my own and I also do rescue work with other dogs so needless to say I am at the vet on a real regular basis. I first came to this clinic when Dr. Hamel transferred here from another office. She is by far the best vet I have ever used. I was first referred to her when one of my fosters had terrible allergies and numerous vets couldn't figure it out. After my first appointment with Dr. Hamel, the dogs allergies started to improve and over the course of a couple of visits she dialed in the treatment that kept this dog comfortable and not an itchy mess. The rescue I work with started using them on my recommendation as well, and I find it so interesting that to my knowledge five of the people who have adopted dogs that I have fostered are still using Blue Cross and mainly Dr. Hamel for their dogs. I have heard nothing but glowing remarks from all of them. One of the other things I really like about this Clinic is that if I have an urgent need for a vet and my regular vet is not available they generally can get me in the same day with one of their other vets. And I've seen several of their other vets over the years and I havealways felt that my dogs got really good care. Now I have to say that good vet care is not often cheap and Blue Cross is no exception to that rule. I don't think they are super expensive but they're not the price of a discount vet Clinic. Clearly I am OK with their pricing as I am there super regularly and feel like I am getting really top-notch vet care and I'm paying a fair price for it. I would highly recommend this Clinic and in particular, Dr. Hamel to anyone.

My husband travels for work, down here around albuquerque for a few. Recently had the opportunity to get a puppy we always wanted. Our new puppy chewed and swallowed some wood chips. I was also worried about parvio as well since our puppy got his first round of shots and needed his second. With traveling is more of a risk for a puppy to get parvo. I took him in to get check. They did an amazing job with caring for my puppy and even allowed our older dog to come in. They call twice to check up on out puppy in a span of 24 hours after the vet visit and asked how he was and if anything changed. Even suggest some over the counter supplements to help. Love this vet. If I live down here long term it will be my primary vet.

Fairly straightforward veterinary experience. Easy, same day, new patient appointment. Cost didn't seem too high but they'll let you opt in to all of the high cost stuff even if it doesn't seem necessary (i.e. suggesting an xray at $xxxx, after a physical examination has nearly completely ruled out the need. They did that hemming and hawing thing where they brought it up, not wholly endorsing it, while also suggesting that it *probably* wasn't needed, but they'd happily do it if my wallet was deep enough. I prefer decisive, "in my professional opinion" statements, and not relying on my uneducated thoughts or my family's emotional attachment to decide what the best medicine is.)

Amazing Vets, very caring, gentle informative! Professional, thorough and dedicated. The office and exam rooms are beautiful and spotless. The office staff is helpful and very warm. A plus for Owners and their pets.

I always recommend Blue Cross Animal Clinic because I have never had a bad experience here. Every doctor is exceptional — you truly can’t go wrong choosing any of them for your pet’s care. My pets have been seen by most of the doctors, and each one has shown skill, compassion, and genuine dedication. I especially appreciate Dr. Hamel, Dr. Aguirre, and Dr. England, who regularly care for my pets and always provide thoughtful, thorough treatment. Dr. Solan and Dr. Wheeler have also been wonderful whenever my pets needed to be seen unexpectedly. And if your pet needs acupuncture, Dr. Markins is incredible — you can see the difference in your pet’s comfort and behavior immediately after a session with her. The technicians deserve recognition as well. Ketti, LeeAnn, Ari, Margaret, and Maggie are consistently attentive, gentle, and skilled. They treat every pet with genuine care and help make each visit smooth and stress‑free. The receptionists are fantastic. Even when they’re juggling phone calls or understaffed, they remain polite, patient, and ready to help. Arianna, Amabel, and Becca always greet you with kindness and make every visit feel welcoming. This clinic has earned my trust completely, and I’ll continue recommending them to anyone looking for excellent veterinary care.

I absolutely love this vet clinic! Every visit is always such a pleasant experience. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the vet techs are amazing. I especially want to recognize Dr. Aguirre, he has been so helpful, knowledgeable, and caring throughout Sadie’s visits. I truly appreciate the time and attention he gives to making sure she is well taken care of. Sadie loves coming here, and I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful veterinary team caring for her! ❤️

This clinic and Dr. Solan were fantastic. Kind and compassionate I would recommend them for anyone. If your pet has to be euthanized there is no better experience for this difficult time
