Buddy’s Doghouse

We have 3 year old Chihuahua who is slow to warm up to strangers. Like most chihuahuas, he can be nervous. We were so happy to find Gertie’s. They have been so patient with him as he warmed up to everyone, and he is enjoying interacting with other people and dogs while in their care. He very much looks forward to going, and jumps with excitement when he hears us say “Gertie’s”. We are so happy to have found this daycare.

Gertie’s has truly been a lifesaver! I was desperate to find a caring, attentive, and fun place for my Maltipoo, and after trying out several other daycares, I quickly realized that Gertie’s was exactly what we needed. At other places I had concerns… small outdoor areas, uninviting play spaces, and being mixed in with much larger breeds, but the moment we pulled up to Gertie’s, I knew it was different. What sealed the deal for me was boarding my dog for the first time. When I came to pick her up, she was so happy and content that she didn’t even want to leave! That’s when I knew this was the right place for us.

We had such a wonderful experience at Gertie's! We were visiting from Denver and wanted to take the grandkids to the Zoo but had our very spoiled Boston Terrier and needed a place for her to stay while we were at the zoo. Gertie's is minutes away from the zoo and their ratings were wonderful so we gave them a try. We couldn't have been more pleased. Laurie communicated wonderfully and I was immediately put at ease. We arrived in the morning and Laurie was there to greet us. I was worried our pup would have to be drug in and scared to leave us. She went right in with Laurie and never even looked back. Our pup had the best time and even made a couple of new friends. I was really worried our spoiled pup would be traumatized because she is new to doggie daycare and she is a senior but not the case here. She came out calm and completely at ease. I highly recommend for a safe wonderful place for your fur babies and the most amazing friendly staff. I wish I could give more stars!!! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but the entire place is pristine and it was so cute when we pulled up there were 3 dogs sitting in the window in beds watching the arrivals. Tails just a wagging🥰

So my wife and I are those people who are scared to death to leave our dogs with anyone else, especially a daycare. We recently got a new dog and wanted desperately to do things differently, and we found Gertie's. I went to a few other places and did a walk-through and felt incredibly scared and defeated because the dogs were so big. What is great about Gertie as they specialize in small breeds and older dogs. There are no kennels and it looks literally like a home, there's a sofa, there's a TV, and squishy dog beds. The first few weeks I was worried constantly if she was OK and now when I drop her off, I don't even think twice about it anymore. Laurie is great with our Nina girl! Blessed to have found Gertie's!

When our Yorkie got too old to enjoy traveling with us, we found Gertie's Doghouse. Laurie and her staff have taken excellent care of our dog. We have developed a level of trust with Gertie's that we have never had with any other boarder. During an out of state family emergency, our dog had an age related medical crisis while boarded. Laurie arranged for transport to our vet and back. We believe our pet may have expired without this intervention and care. We just can't give higher praise to Gertie's and the staff. Our dog recognizes we are at Gertie's when we drop her off and she is always excited to be there. What a happy place for a little dog!

I can’t thank Laurie enough for the peace of mind she gives me every time I travel. Because of her, I’m able to go on extended vacations knowing Jada Joy is treated like family. She not only embraces Jada’s quirky habits and peculiar routines but also handles her stealthy food/snatching ways with patience, humor, and care. It’s clear she truly loves the dogs in her care, and I’m beyond grateful to have someone so kind, attentive, and trustworthy taking care of my Jada Joy! If you are putting off traveling because of fears leaving your baby, I highly recommend Gertie’s Doghouse!

Gertie’s has been a lifesaver! Laurie And her staff are so good with our sweet Isla, who has severe separation anxiety. It’s been a true blessing.

Update 7/3/25 We are so happy with Gertie's Doghouse! We find great satisfaction in that we can drop our dog off at Gertie's and know he'll be well cared for and can play to his heart's content. We love that Gertie's provides a safe place for small and senior dogs. We absolutely love Gertie's Dog House! Our 15 lb. Goldendoodle has the best time at daycare, always coming home happy and tired after a fun-filled day. One of the things that makes Gertie's so special is their dedicated daycare for small dogs, which gives us peace of mind knowing our pup is in a safe and comfortable environment. The owner is fantastic—punctual, communicative, and truly caring. Her kindness and attentiveness make all the difference. We highly recommend Gertie's Dog House to anyone looking for a wonderful daycare experience!
