If I could give Burke Events more than five stars, I absolutely would. Solmaz and her team deliver truly exceptional planning from start to finish, ensuring every single detail is executed flawlessly. What truly sets them apart from the rest of the industry is the immense amount of thought and genuine love they pour into all of their productions. You can feel the passion and care they have for their clients in everything they do, making the entire experience completely stress-free and magical. I wouldn't want any other planner in the world orchestrating my events. If you want a team that will treat your special occasion as if it were their own, look no further. Highly recommended!

Solmaz and Ashley (and team!) were wonderful. Having a wedding planner was a completely new concept to me - our venue at the Four Seasons required one, and I interviewed several. I could not have done it without them! Our wedding was out of our home state, and they had great recommendations in vendors. They planned multiple events over the weekend with detail. They handled every issue that arose with professionalism and were so encouraging along the way. On the wedding day, they executed flawlessly. I handled absolutely nothing! They really are amazing. I also just really liked them, which I think matters when you are planning an event that means so much. I'm convinced these ladies could do anything.

Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but working with Solmaz and Ashley made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. From our first conversations through the wedding night, they were attentive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day everything we hoped it would be. They coordinated every part of the celebration, including the photography, videography, music, flowers, and décor. Instead of having to manage all the moving pieces myself, I was able to review the options they brought to me and choose what felt right for us. They took care of the details behind the scenes, which gave me the freedom to look forward to our wedding instead of worrying about it. Seeing everything come together that night was incredible. I hired Solmaz/Burke Events for full-service wedding planning, and based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend her. Our wedding was SO GORGEOUS, but largely because my mom and I essentially planned and managed it ourselves—which was exactly what I hired a full-service planner to avoid. A few things I wish I’d known: * Communication changed immediately after I paid. Solmaz was very responsive beforehand, then shortly after payment disappeared for nearly 2 weeks with no response to emails/texts. I finally emailed asking if I had been scammed because I was genuinely concerned. She said she had been sick, which I understood, but waiting 4 business days to a week+ for responses became normal. * My budget doubled. I clearly disclosed my budget before hiring her, and a major reason I chose her was because she assured me she could work with it. Later, I was essentially told she couldn't produce the wedding for anything close to that amount. Had I known that upfront, I would’ve hired someone else. * I felt like I planned my own wedding. I drove the process, followed up, researched options and made sure things got done. She said she would review/negotiate vendor contracts but didn't. She wasn't even tracking our budget until I flagged it. When I asked what still needed to be done, I was often directed to the generic Aisle Planner checklist rather than given guidance specific to our wedding. Also, she’d say things like its too early to hire a makeup artist when I sent her my first choice I wanted. Then a few months later when she said we should finally hire one, my first choice was long gone! * Very little proactive design help. If I didn't come up with an idea, it generally wasn't proposed. We were repeatedly pushed toward Flowers by Edgar. Their work is gorgeous, but once we chose not to use them for full design/production, things got messy. I wish I had understood before hiring her how much her design process and expertise was actually outsourced to that vendor, * The wedding day was incredibly unorganized. I provided a detailed seating diagram, yet guests' place cards were put at completely different tables/areas, including my head table. Minutes before the ceremony there was a scramble to find a speaker. It was also ~40 degrees outside, yet despite having a gorgeous empty indoor space available, there was no proactive suggestion to move cocktail hour inside. Guests got so cold they entered the reception while it was still being set up. * I was still managing my own timeline. I was literally asking, “Shouldn't our first dance be starting now?” I hardly saw Solmaz, although I frequently saw a separate camera crew she hired to create content for her Instagram. Despite being promised an attendant, there were times no one was there to help me, even while I walked to photos with my huge wedding dress dragging on the ground. * The issues continued after the wedding. Two days later, Solmaz emailed saying furniture was “ruined” and rental tables were missing before fully investigating. One supposed damage issue simply required cleaning a spill, and a table her team apparently failed to return somehow became my problem. Weddings aren't flawless, and that isn't my complaint. I paid for full-service planning so I wouldn't have to manage my own wedding, yet I did exactly that before, during and after. Our wedding was the BEST day and GORG, but because we made it that way. I wish the attention given to curating Burke Events' Instagram had been given to actually planning our wedding.

Working with Burke Events, was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely taken care of and brought our vision to life in a way that was even better than we imagined. There are so many details and decisions that go into planning a wedding, and they somehow made the entire process feel manageable and enjoyable. On our wedding day, we were able to truly be present and enjoy every moment because we knew they had everything handled behind the scenes. They genuinely cared about us, our families, and making the day special. By the end of the process, they felt like so much more than our wedding planner team. Burke Events was hired for my wedding that took place on August 22 2026 at Carneros. It was the best decision I made. I interviewed a few wedding planners to make sure I picked the person who I felt best connected with. Solmaz Burke was the third person I met with and we connected instantly. I knew what I was looking for and I was being very picky until I found the right person who understood my vision. We hired her and she took on the full operation from start to finish. I provided her my dream board and some guidance but I allowed her and her team to have full control. You wouldn't tell a brain surgeon how to operate and I believe when It comes to a high luxury wedding you need to allow an artist to reach their full flow of creativity and trust the process, which is what I did. Her and her team didn't just check my boxes they made my fairytale dream wedding come to life. She minimized my stressed by taking everything on and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I am constantly getting praised and thanked for the wedding weekend (she also handled my welcome party which was picture perfect too). I would hire her again over and over again. My wedding day was perfect my welcome party day was perfect my entire trip in Napa was perfect because she allowed me to live in the moment without any chaos. HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER, HIRE SOLMAZ BURKE for a beautiful tasteful fun unbelievable wedding experience. I didn't just have the best trip of my life being my entire wedding trip but the best DAY of my ENTIRE life being my wedding. I am forever grateful to her team, thank you!!!

We are so thankful to our amazing wedding planner Solmaz and her Burkevents team for helping make our wedding dreams come true. We had the most magical, beautiful, fun, and fairy-tale wedding day thanks to all of the help and support from Solmaz. It was a joy and pleasure working with Solmaz to plan our special day. She is fantastic. We truly miss our calls with her! We would not have been able to plan our 200-person wedding without her, especially with both of us working full time. I wish that we connected with her at the very beginning our planning process. Before we met her, we had visited so many venues over the past several months and were confused and frustrated having not made a decision yet. Once we had Solmaz on our team, she immediately made us a side-by-side comparison and budget analysis between our top two venues and talked us through important areas to consider between the two. She helped guide us towards making the final decision on our venue and date and we couldn’t have been happier getting our dream venue (The Taglyan Complex in Hollywood)! We appreciate all of Solmaz’s hard work and numerous hours of planning and coordinating with us and all of our vendors. She had a comprehensive checklist to make sure we were on track with our tasks. Being a bride and planning a wedding can be stressful, but Solmaz eased my anxiety on many occasions, answered all of my many questions or found answers to them, and made everything super fun too. I especially appreciate that she flew to LA for a site visit of our church and venue prior to the wedding. She also has a great eye for detail and elegance. She gave awesome suggestions on our printed items such as our Save the Dates, invitations, and menus for the wedding. Solmaz was honest throughout the year we worked with her and we appreciated her opinions on vendors or other important decisions that we had to make. She created a very detailed timeline with us and made sure to share it with all of our vendors prior to the wedding. We also had calls with important vendors prior to the big day to go over the timeline and answer questions. Everything was perfect on our special day and we couldn’t have been happier! We were able to truly be in the moment and enjoy our big day because we knew that we were in great hands with Solmaz and her team. I honestly had no worry or anxiety on my special day which was shocking being a bride! My husband and I felt like we were floating on clouds. Solmaz was enthusiastic, calm, supportive, and confident on wedding day. Many of our guests commented after the wedding about how gorgeous it was, how organized it felt, and how seamless everything flowed. Solmaz also stayed until the very end of the wedding (which not all wedding planners do) and made sure everything was ok and all of our important items or gifts were packed and ready to be transported back to the hotel with our designated family members.
