We left Cadence three weeks ago after our daughter attended full-time for 13 months and our son part-time for one month. I want to be clear that we had many wonderful teachers during our time there. Unfortunately, the issues with administration, staffing, communication, and consistency ultimately made us uncomfortable continuing to send our children there. Over the course of the year, there were four directors and multiple assistant changes. Our daughter had six different teachers and assistants. Children were also frequently moved between classrooms due to staffing issues, making consistency nearly impossible. Communication from administration was consistently poor. We were not informed when both of our children’s teachers left on the same day, and we frequently received little or no advance notice about staffing-related classroom closures. Families were repeatedly asked to keep their children home because of staffing shortages, sometimes with notice as late as 9:30 p.m. One evening, we were not informed that our daughter’s classroom would be closed until after 6:00 p.m. We are still waiting for our refund for this day despite multiple phone calls. On one occasion, administration sent a message stating that drop-off was being closed because there were not enough parent volunteers. Rather than taking responsibility for the staffing shortage that led to the closure, the communication placed the blame on families for not volunteering. Regardless of the circumstances, we found that approach concerning and reflective of the larger lack of accountability we experienced. Communication regarding illness was another major concern. We became aware that staff had been informed of both a case of croup and a case of strep in our daughter’s classroom, but those exposures were never communicated to us. Classes were also routinely combined at the end of the day because of staffing shortages, including after illness exposures, resulting in children from different classrooms being grouped together exposing more children. Our experience with our son also raised serious concerns about basic attention to detail. Within his eight days attending cadence, his bathing suit was sent home with another child and took approximately three weeks and repeated follow-ups to get back. His labeled bottle was sent home with the wrong child, and a different bottle was left in his cubby. Most concerning, his feeding plan was lost. For approximately two weeks, he was not being fed according to his plan because there was no consistent person in his classroom after his teacher left. For a childcare facility, I consider losing a child’s feeding instructions and not following them for two weeks to be an extremely serious issue. I understand that staffing challenges happen, and I do not expect perfection. I do expect transparency, consistency, and confidence that the people caring for my children know their individual needs. Unfortunately, we did not have that confidence at Cadence. I would not recommend Cadence to families looking for a safe, consistent, attentive, and well-managed childcare environment. We ultimately decided that the lack of stability, communication, and accountability was not worth continuing.

We had a great experience with cadence academy baby room. Ms Mary and Ms Kay were so sweet, patient, and comforting for our nervous first born (and nervous first time parents!) After a couple of weeks at drop off she was reaching for Ms Mary. The director Ms Alex was also very flexible with us. You can tell that all the members of the staff get along and have a great rapport

We have been at this facility over 7 years with two children. While no daycare is perfect, our experience has always been more positive than negative and there have been several teachers over this time who have loved our kids and gone above and beyond to make their experience great. Our kids have always been safe and the facility is always clean. The current assistant director Alex is truly wonderful and works so hard to make the school a warm and inviting place. With child care being so expensive, it’s nice to know your kids are at a place where they are loved and learn new things everyday.

I just wanted to say after my child getting kicked out but the director Leo due to my hostility once he tried to defend a teacher HITTING my child, my child is now at learning jungle and the teachers are marvelous after dealing with staff who had no proper training. His new teachers and director asked why we switched locations for meck prek at a short notice and of course I let them know how they treated my child and made it seem as he was a bad kid. They make sure to let me know how great of a day he had. The teachers are playful and kind instead of a staff who treats 4 year olds who are new to this world look like criminals. We absolutely loved the staff before Leo got there and discriminated based off my age. Assuming as a young mom I was going to keep my mouth shut after my child got hit. I highly recommend to check out learning jungle if you’re not happy here!!

my son has attended since he was 1. started in July 2022 & was recently just kicked out as of June 2025. The way my child has been treated is completely unacceptable. As I understand my child has issues w behavior/following directions when he’s feeling stubborn, it has NEVER been this bad. My child is responsible for his own actions but then again he is a 4 year old. The director & assistant that was originally there, were absolutely incredible. My child felt safe/comfortable 2 speak 2 them about his big emotions & they were fantastic @ redirecting & engaging w the children. Or at least my child. I say this because in January of 2025, there was new leadership. When this new leadership came in my child had came home & told me that he was hit by a teacher (before the new staff arrived). I asked him everyday over the weekend to ensure that it wasn’t some made up story from a toddler. story stayed consistent. I then see that there were allegations of a little girl being SA @ the school as well as multiple teachers (including the 1 that hit my child) being fired. I brought this to the new director, Leos attention. He completely dismissed my feelings regarding my child & wanted to come up w a defense for the SA allegations. As u can imagine I was quite furious as my child was being ignored. I then spoke w the regional director & told her everything. She was nice & said she’d speak with the director about this bc his behavior was not okay. ever since this my child has been completely neglected. Id continuously get calls regarding him not listening but could nvr show me the cameras or give me a detailed story on what led up to it or why. How am i suppose 2 address my childs behavior without knowing the full story I was told he “st3bbed” a child in the neck after getting up off the floor & running towards the child w a pencil from the director Leo. However, when I got there the assistant, Julie had showed me with her hand what he had done. She said he was standing in line & poking the kid in the neck. not okay but the stories are completely different. I then asked to see the camera footage & was told I was not allowed 2 but that she (Julie) would reach out other boss 2 see. I nvr heard an update. I was told today by new leadership that it was a lie. I am able 2 see the footage with an officer. - she arrived within the last month. 3 directors since January 2025. I then over hear a kid telling other kids 2 not speak to my child (not holding it against the kid. They are only 4…). I knew as soon as I heard this I was going 2 get a call today from the school. 2 hours go by & I get a call saying he pushed a kid. So, at this point barely believe anything they tell me due 2 the past stories & lack of info. & I had asked for the background and he, Ty couldn’t give me anything. I had let them know what I heard while dripping him off & says “well why do you keep bringing him here if you think he’s getting bulling” instead of reassuring a parent that u would check into this. The staff has been extremely unprofessional. My child has nvr had any major issues @ this school until I talked to the regional director/his boss about how he had treated me. 3 YEARS & no problem, until someone is snitched on. I was told a convo was going to be had about his triggers & what was going on so we could get 2 the bottom of it bc his behavior was not normal at all. I was told that the old director as well as new 1 would be there. The old director did not show up so they had sent the new 1 instead to let me know he could no longer attend instead of the director who had the issue. Sounds fishy & sounds like someone was running from an issue they had a part in. There was no convo about my child’s behavior. Just kicked out. I’m very aware my child can act out. However, is It not a little odd that after someone is snitched on to their boss, my child starts 2 have tantrums & I can’t be shown proof in order to correct this behavior. there is no conversation had about this behavior as promised. A director should be concerned & encourage a child’s good behavior.
