I had a check engine light on my daughter‘s BMW X3 and dropped it off there. Diagnostics were free and they started with the simplest solution which was changing the oil and making sure it was full. I’m thankful for their honesty and this was a very reasonable repair.
Outstanding and professional service. A Rae find in today’s works. I would recommend this workshop to anyone that really cares about how their vehicle is treated.
Yep, these guys are good. We brought in our old Kia Optima fearing the worst and were prepared to perform last rights on it. Campus Garage quickly diagnosed the problems and got back to me with what they had found. Problem solved. They finished the job at a price that I could live with. They are competent and friendly...I highly recommend them.
Honest. Straight forward. Great work. Dependable. Communication is top shelf. AWESOME!
Always a pleasure to work with Eric and his team his team- they keep my classic Beamer and my late model VW in tip top shape. Reliable and knowledgeable, way better than any dealer -
Very knowledgeable. Good quality services that are reasonably priced.
Honest and dependable service. Some of the best mechanics we have encountered. Update 2025...still bringing our Cayenne to these great people. We drive about 140 miles round trip and it's worth the extra time everytime! Update...Campus to the rescue again! They helped my kid with his RAM and are always experts.…
Again Eric and CG came through. I'm leaving town in a few days and discovered an oil leak from our beloved (read 2010) Camry. I went immediately to CG to get a quick diagnosis. Lo and behold, CG quickly found a cracked plastic housing and fixed it by day's end. Hoorays to Eric et al!!
I brought my Audi toCampus Garage for an oil change and was favorably impressed with the service I received. They did a thorough job and finished in a reasonable amount of time. The price was very fair compared with typical Audi oil change costs, and I felt like I got great value for what I paid. I’ll definitely be returning for future maintenance.
We’re new to Ames, so we relied on a friend to recommend Campus Garage. Great service; fast and friendly. Listened to our problems and were able to diagnose and resolve them quickly. Always terrific service! I’m grateful that I can usually get an appointment right away. Communication is good, they always call and explain things clearly in a way that I can understand. Prices seem reasonable and fair.
Amazing!! Made sure to diagnose the problem correctly vs making expensive fixes that weren’t needed. Will 100% go back!
Honest and knowledgeable.
The folks at Campus Garage are the best. I had an O2 sensor issue with my Volkswagen, but Eric went the extra mile to get it fixed. I have also used Campus garage for oil changes, new tires, and new rear springs…they do great work and are always super professional and friendly.

Excellent, fast service and attention to detail. They have gone above and beyond to diagnose and repair the problems we've had with our vehicle. Very appreciative for everything they've done. It's the small town service and hospitality that keeps us coming back.
Very knowledgeable about my Porsches ( I have 2) labor rate is about 1/2 of dealers. Communication is excellent keeping customer informed. No waiting area (might be a good thing=). Most important answer to all questions is would I continue to do future business? YES!!!

My daughter is a student at Iowa State and had a blinking check engine light on the dash. The folks at campus garage got her in quickly, diagnosed and fixed the problem in a timely manner. Thank you very much.
My alternator went out on me and campus garage was absolutely wonderful. I told them I couldn’t afford the whole bill and they were gracious enough to hold my vehicle for me while I saved up a few paychecks. Eric and his crew are top notch and wonderful human beings.
I have used them twice now and would highly recommend.
Very professional. I have another car scheduled on October 13th. More than willing to listen to my concerns and work with me. Plan on doing more business with them.
A great company. Charlie was super responsive and squeezed me into his tight schedule. He is a real straight shooter and is someone I know I can trust. I will definitely be using Campus Garage again.
Great experience with campus garage. Eric was very honest with cost and never asked me to do anything unnecessary. He usually called to tell the customer the estimated cost before doing the work. So you won’t be surprised by an unexpected big bill. Campus garage has become my to go place for any car issues.

I’m driving an 18-year-old car that has been serviced continuously by this garage and the car runs beautifully. I think that says it all.
It comforting to know that, even though I am five hours away, I was able to find a garage that I can trust to do great, honest work on my daughters car at a reasonable price. I will not hesitate to use Campus Garage again. I highly recommend them!
