Always a pleasure to work with Eric and his team his team- they keep my classic Beamer and my late model VW in tip top shape. Reliable and knowledgeable, way better than any dealer -
Very knowledgeable. Good quality services that are reasonably priced.
Took my car in for a misfire and they were very straightforward with me. They went completely above and beyond to take care of me. As a college student I was nervous about what it was going to cost, but they treated me very well and made sure I left happy. I will definitely be taking my car here from now on.
We’re new to Ames, so we relied on a friend to recommend Campus Garage. Great service; fast and friendly. Listened to our problems and were able to diagnose and resolve them quickly. Excellent, fast service and attention to detail. They have gone above and beyond to diagnose and repair the problems we've had with our vehicle. Very appreciative for everything they've done. It's the small town service and hospitality that keeps us coming back.
We have used Campus Garage several times over the past four years while my daughter attended ISU and couldn’t be more happy with their service and expertise. Always honest and reliable. I’m grateful to have someone to count on when cars break down and we are out of state.
Been using for years always impressed with service, speed, and knowledge, fair pricing and quick turn arounds plus no charge for diagnostic and estimates. Very happy with all the services they have done for us.

The service was fast and appropriate. They master very well what they do.
The Campus Garage was able to get my car back up and running after an engine misfire issue for $950 instead of the $1,600 I was quoted by a national chain shop. They also made sure I actually needed the repairs recommended by the other shop before proceeding. They're without a doubt my new mechanic of choice. Give…
Excellent and timely service ... as always.
These folks are the best. Highly knowledgeable, reasonable, and very helpful. The only limitation is they don’t have use of proprietary equipment limited to dealers only.

Campus Garage got back to me very quickly. Everything from setting up the appointment to the actual work was done very quickly. Each of the staff I talked to was friendly and upfront. I'll be recommending them to anyone I know that needs work. Thanks for everything, guys.
My daughter is 3 hours away from home and Campus Garage took care of everything for her car at an extremely reasonable price, and they kept me updated over the phone. I was also able to pay over the phone. They are honest and do great work! I had gotten 2 estimates from Volkswagen dealerships and Campus Garage was…
Great company to work with. Honest, straight forward, knowledgeable work.
Eric was really helpful in diagnosing a coolant leak in my Mini Cooper and replacing the tires and performing an alignment on the car. Very knowledgeable on imports.
These guys are experts! Came in for a unsteady idle and they not only solved that problem but another problem I was having with my clutch. There aren't a lot of places that will work on a car from 1990 but these guys are professionals. Work was done quick and they gave frequent updates about the progress. Highly…
They said it would cost me $100 to open my engine to see the problem and when they found out the engine and was to broken to be repaired they didn't charge me. They also let me keep my broken car in their lot for a week.
Campus Garage is close to 100% accurate on trouble diagnosis each time. They really know what they are doing! Definitely specialists in their area. I've been doing business with them for several years. Eric and Charlie always take time to explain the issue and repair, give me an accurate quote and treat me with…
These guys diagnosed a check engine light as 2 cylinder misfires, and had the spark plugs and ignition coils replaced within 4 hours. The man I spoke with, Charlie, told me that my car was throwing another error, told me how much it cost for them to fix it for me, how necessary it was, and also how to fix it myself.…
