I had a check engine light on my daughter‘s BMW X3 and dropped it off there. Diagnostics were free and they started with the simplest solution which was changing the oil and making sure it was full. I’m thankful for their honesty and this was a very reasonable repair.
Campus Auto is the BEST place for your car in Ames. Very thorough and knowledgeable.
They took care of my daughter’s car (ISU student). We live 6 hours away. They called me to explain the issue and then offered to also show my daughter how to properly check her oil dipstick because apparently it is not clear on her particular model. Places like Campus Garage make it easier to have your kids far from home.
Those guys are great and fast. We highly recommend them!

Can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve been taking my car here for repairs and service throughout college will continue as along as I’m in Ames. They were able to fit me in day of when I had brake issues and needed a full replacement.
Refreshing to be able to trust the people who work on our cars. I know they will do what is needed at a fair price and stand behind it. They allow me to buy the cars I want and not depend on the dealership rip-off we are all accustomed to. Less than half price of the dealership estimate, everything done. I can’t recommend them more.
