We had our 100,000 maintenance completed on a truck. Saved considerably over quote given by our usual service center. Thanks so much for a fair price.
I had a check engine light on my daughter‘s BMW X3 and dropped it off there. Diagnostics were free and they started with the simplest solution which was changing the oil and making sure it was full. I’m thankful for their honesty and this was a very reasonable repair.
Campus Auto is the BEST place for your car in Ames. Very thorough and knowledgeable.
They took care of my daughter’s car (ISU student). We live 6 hours away. They called me to explain the issue and then offered to also show my daughter how to properly check her oil dipstick because apparently it is not clear on her particular model. Places like Campus Garage make it easier to have your kids far from home.
Those guys are great and fast. We highly recommend them!
Campus Garage does great work done on time at affordable rates. The staff and owner are helpful and responsive. Why go anywhere else?
Great service. Honest and professional
I’ve been going to Campus Garage for about 2 years now and they are the best mechanic experience I’ve had. They’ve always been able to fix my issue, perform the necessary service, inform me of costs beforehand, and have exceptional customer service. I have no plans to go anywhere else for my cars servicing needs.
Very timely and friendly!
We have taken our daughters cars here for several years. They are always great to work with. I appreciate your honest approach that I can always trust. Thanks!!
Campus garage was amazing!!! Quick and efficient. Extremely friendly and I cannot say enough good things about them ! My tires were shot and I had no idea. Eric found me the best tires for my car. He ordered them, had them the next morning and my car was done by 9:30 am!!! So impressed ! Will return here often for…
Have done business with Campus Garage for years and never had a bad experience!
Can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve been taking my car here for repairs and service throughout college will continue as along as I’m in Ames. They were able to fit me in day of when I had brake issues and needed a full replacement.
Refreshing to be able to trust the people who work on our cars. I know they will do what is needed at a fair price and stand behind it. They allow me to buy the cars I want and not depend on the dealership rip-off we are all accustomed to. Less than half price of the dealership estimate, everything done. I can’t recommend them more.
Always a pleasure to work with Eric and his team his team- they keep my classic Beamer and my late model VW in tip top shape. Reliable and knowledgeable, way better than any dealer -
We had a transmission service, all expectations were met or exceeded. I will definitely use them again.
Very knowledgeable. Good quality services that are reasonably priced.
Honest and dependable service. Some of the best mechanics we have encountered. Update 2025...still bringing our Cayenne to these great people. We drive about 140 miles round trip and it's worth the extra time everytime! Update...Campus to the rescue again! They helped my kid with his RAM and are always experts.…
Staff are very welcoming and are great communicators. They made sure to have my car done in a timeframe that was best for my schedule and clarified service needs with me. Prices were reasonable and they even provide discounts for students and faculty!
I had my transmission valve body and front struts replaced on the same day without any issues. It was done within a day with no overnight needed and the price was certainly right. They also found where my backing lights had their wire broken and fixed that in addition to replacing a ball joint and both license plate…

I highly recommend Campus Garage for high-quality service in Ames. I needed a comprehensive service on my 07 Tundra (4.7L) and they were incredibly accommodating throughout the process. A long overdue review...I have been taking all 4 of our cars to Campus Garage for nearly 3 years now. They are always transparent, timely, and fairly priced (I cannot emphasize this last piece enough). They always provide an honest opinion of work that actually needs to get done vs. work that has no impact on car…

Eric and his colleagues in Campus Garage do a fantastic job, every time. We have been trusting our cars to them for well over 20 years and have never had a problem. They work fast and well, and are priced reasonably, in particular consider the quality of their work. Highly recommend!
The Campus team was awesome! Needed the car back quickly…they sourced parts and worked us into their schedule. Quality work, great communication and under the estimated budget! Will definitely continue to use this group!

We have used Campus Garage several times over the past four years while my daughter attended ISU and couldn’t be more happy with their service and expertise. Always honest and reliable. I’m grateful to have someone to count on when cars break down and we are out of state.
Very knowledgeable about my Porsches ( I have 2) labor rate is about 1/2 of dealers. Communication is excellent keeping customer informed. No waiting area (might be a good thing=). Most important answer to all questions is would I continue to do future business? YES!!!
Very courteous and knowledgeable. I made a mistake and brought my car in a week before its scheduled maintenance. They were still able to get it in incomplete services. Thank you great job.
Cannot recommend Campus Garage enough! They fit me in with a brake issue at the last minute when my regular garage wasn't able to. Knowledgeable, friendly, convenient and affordable. I'll be switching my car care here permanently.
Been using for years always impressed with service, speed, and knowledge, fair pricing and quick turn arounds plus no charge for diagnostic and estimates. Very happy with all the services they have done for us.
We needed a quick response to a problem with a wheel on our car. Campus Garage got us in right away to assess the problem, and it was a simple fix so they took care of it on the spot. Always friendly and professional when we need anything.

Great bunch of guys Very knowledgeable Only place my wife’s car goes My wife had an incident with her car this week. Campus garage had her car towed to their facility and got it repaired the same week. Transmission filter, transmission cover and fluid. They’re awesome
They take extra time to evaluate the repairs and if anything else needs attention. Great experience. My new auto shop.
I went to Campus Garage to get my sway bars replaced. I was able to get an appointment less than a week after I called them. They had my car fixed after a few hours and everything has been smooth since. Service was great with great pricing!
Eric was very friendly and professional when I called to ask about running a diagnostic on our car. He made sure that our car would be fixed before 4 pm the next day so we wouldn’t be without a vehicle/transportation.

I highly recommend Campus Garage. My daughter's water pump went out. Eric and the team diagnosed the problem and had her car repaired in two days. Communication was excellent!
Quick, honest service. Came up with a reasonable solution for an issue that could have been costly.
This shop does great work, but when I get a new car that was a SAAB they refused to even look at it. Its their choice to choose what cars to work on, I'm just disappointed by the choice.
Had a great experience here. People were very nice and fixed my car for very cheap. I've went there multiple times for repairs and they fixed the problem every time.
Campus Garage is very prompt in completing their work. Their service was terrific. I will definitely use them again.
I've been a loyal Campus Garage customer for over 20 years. Eric and his team are true mechanics in the best sense--knowledgeable, thorough, and detail-oriented. Campus Garage has phenominal customer service. I absolutely loved working with them and knew my vehicle was in the best hands. Will 100% be making them my new go- to for all things car related.
My daughter needed some work done on her car while at college. It was easy for her to book an appointment online and they offered a student discount. I was pleased with the service and the price. My daughter felt at ease dropping her car off and picking it up. That was most important to me as a parent.
It was a very easy and smooth to get the services done. And very quick as well. For my first garage visit in Ames and my first car, this was a really good experience and no hassle whatsoever
