Most reliable place on the planet, coolest people too.
Very good work.
I had a check engine light on my daughter‘s BMW X3 and dropped it off there. Diagnostics were free and they started with the simplest solution which was changing the oil and making sure it was full. I’m thankful for their honesty and this was a very reasonable repair.
I had a worsening cyclical thump in one of my tires, so I made an appointment to have it looked at, the same time as an oil change. I soon received a call from Campus Garage, saying my oil change was done. They had diagnosed the problem as a cupped tread on one tire. They had it ordered, balanced and mounted by the…
They took care of my daughter’s car (ISU student). We live 6 hours away. They called me to explain the issue and then offered to also show my daughter how to properly check her oil dipstick because apparently it is not clear on her particular model. Places like Campus Garage make it easier to have your kids far from home.
Outstanding and professional service. A Rae find in today’s works. I would recommend this workshop to anyone that really cares about how their vehicle is treated.
Yep, these guys are good. We brought in our old Kia Optima fearing the worst and were prepared to perform last rights on it. Campus Garage quickly diagnosed the problems and got back to me with what they had found. Problem solved. They finished the job at a price that I could live with. They are competent and friendly...I highly recommend them.
Those guys are great and fast. We highly recommend them!
Campus Garage does great work done on time at affordable rates. The staff and owner are helpful and responsive. Why go anywhere else?
High quality work. Honest and easy to work with. Very customer and quality oriented. Would strongly recommend them. This has been the case every time I have had work done by them. I would not go to any other garage. The last two days I had brake work done on both my cars. It was clearly explained what…
Had an urgent issue with my Porsche. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it for me. Very pleased.
We have used Campus Garage on two occasions now with a perfect outcome each time. My daughter is an ISU student with a crazy schedule. We live to hours away from Ames. We really like the after hours lock boxes for key pickup. Everything with Campus Garage has been excellent.
Great service. Honest and professional
We have had excellent service on 2 of our vehicles over many years. They get us on their schedule in a very reasonable time frame, and always get the job done on the same day. They have always gone the extra mile for us!
I’ve been going to Campus Garage for about 2 years now and they are the best mechanic experience I’ve had. They’ve always been able to fix my issue, perform the necessary service, inform me of costs beforehand, and have exceptional customer service. I have no plans to go anywhere else for my cars servicing needs.
The Campus Garage people are very personable and will work with you on scheduling and any other problems you have and I think they are very honest.
They never pressure to purchase unnecessary services. Very professional garage!
Excellent service! Brought my Porsche Cayenne in for an oil change and inspection. The team was professional, quick, and very reasonably priced. They took the time to check the car over thoroughly and provided great service without the high dealership costs. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Campus Garage for Porsche service.
Great customer care!!
These guys are the best. I love that they always provide free estimates and that the work cost is consistently within 10% of that estimate. Beyond that, the work is completed on time with a professionalism resulting in success 100% of the time I have asked them to take on a project. I highly recommend these guys!!!!
Dropped of my vehicle Monday night for my Tuesday 8am appointment, it was all done by Tuesday mid afternoon. Great price, reliable, fast service.👍
We are always happy with the service and recommendations from Campus Garage.
They always do a great job. The people are friendly and listen to you.
There isn’t a more qualified or honest mechanic we are aware of in town and we have used 4 separate services over the years. They provide great service at reasonable prices.
Campus garage was amazing!!! Quick and efficient. Extremely friendly and I cannot say enough good things about them ! My tires were shot and I had no idea. Eric found me the best tires for my car. He ordered them, had them the next morning and my car was done by 9:30 am!!! So impressed ! Will return here often for…
Campus garage is trustworthy with affordable prices! No wonder they’re booked out so much!
Shop was quickly able to diagnose the problem I was having and quick to complete the repair. They seemed very knowledgeable and provided answers to all my questions.
Can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve been taking my car here for repairs and service throughout college will continue as along as I’m in Ames. They were able to fit me in day of when I had brake issues and needed a full replacement.
A number of friends recommended Campus Garage for their honesty and good work so just tried for 1st time. 1st experience is good.
Refreshing to be able to trust the people who work on our cars. I know they will do what is needed at a fair price and stand behind it. They allow me to buy the cars I want and not depend on the dealership rip-off we are all accustomed to. Less than half price of the dealership estimate, everything done. I can’t recommend them more.
My truck was serviced and finished in a very timely manner.
Asked for an oil change plus an additional inspection, got it done quick and gave me peace of mind!
Very knowledgeable. Good quality services that are reasonably priced.
Honest and dependable service. Some of the best mechanics we have encountered. Update 2025...still bringing our Cayenne to these great people. We drive about 140 miles round trip and it's worth the extra time everytime! Update...Campus to the rescue again! They helped my kid with his RAM and are always experts.…
Kind and reasonable
Excellent experience from start to end. Eric and his team are very professional. Highly recommend Campus Garage 👍🏼
Staff are very welcoming and are great communicators. They made sure to have my car done in a timeframe that was best for my schedule and clarified service needs with me. Prices were reasonable and they even provide discounts for students and faculty!
We’re new to Ames, so we relied on a friend to recommend Campus Garage. Great service; fast and friendly. Listened to our problems and were able to diagnose and resolve them quickly. We will be return customers. We’re back again - 3 yrs since we moved back to Ames - and we will continue to use and recommend Campus…
I highly recommend Campus Garage for high-quality service in Ames. I needed a comprehensive service on my 07 Tundra (4.7L) and they were incredibly accommodating throughout the process. While the local dealership had a 1+ month waiting list just for an inspection, Campus ordered the parts and scheduled me within 2…
Always great service! Thank you!
Good experience
Always reliable and now our trusted mechanic. Great service- timely and good communication. Fair prices.
Excellent auto service garage with very experienced and friendly staff.
Great service, great work, and great prices. I've been coming here since I moved to Ames three years ago. Best place to bring your VW's, Audi, BMW, Mercedes. The only critique (and it's a small one) is that this last oil change they didn't reset the oil change indicator on the dash panel. It only took me 2 mins to…
I had my car in for an oil change. Very easy appointment and was able to schedule the car in the following week. Campus Garage was professional, friendly, prompt, and I had a very good experience. I would take my other vehicles here without hesitation.
Campus garage is the one and only garage that I will use. They have provided me top drawer service for over 20 years
Good to see the crew again! Great staff and service. Highly recommend!
Honest and knowledgeable.
Eric and his colleagues in Campus Garage do a fantastic job, every time. We have been trusting our cars to them for well over 20 years and have never had a problem. They work fast and well, and are priced reasonably, in particular consider the quality of their work. Highly recommend!
Always have good experience. good staff. clean environment. we will be back.
This has been my 3rd or 4th or probably a lot of times getting my oil changed. They checked everything and did a great job! I will use them as long as I live and tell everyone I know or don’t know about how great you all are!
After a botched DIY job left me without a transmission, they worked with me to try to find a cheaper solution. Unfortunately that didn’t pan out, but they were able to replace it for well under dealership rates. They kept me well informed when something came up and were even flexible enough to offer me a discount that saved me a few extra bucks.
The folks at Campus Garage are the best. I had an O2 sensor issue with my Volkswagen, but Eric went the extra mile to get it fixed. I have also used Campus garage for oil changes, new tires, and new rear springs…they do great work and are always super professional and friendly.
Campus Garage has been my preferred mechanic for over 5 years. They are honest, extremely helpful, & do their best to help in a car emergency even when they’re busy! Thank you all again!
They are always honest, courteous, and most importantly good at what they do!
Great service and friendly people! Eric has worked on cars for a long time! They do a great job!!
Very knowledgeable about my Porsches ( I have 2) labor rate is about 1/2 of dealers. Communication is excellent keeping customer informed. No waiting area (might be a good thing=). Most important answer to all questions is would I continue to do future business? YES!!!
My go to for auto service in Ames.
Very courteous and knowledgeable. I made a mistake and brought my car in a week before its scheduled maintenance. They were still able to get it in incomplete services. Thank you great job.
Cannot recommend Campus Garage enough! They fit me in with a brake issue at the last minute when my regular garage wasn't able to. Knowledgeable, friendly, convenient and affordable. I'll be switching my car care here permanently.
We needed a quick response to a problem with a wheel on our car. Campus Garage got us in right away to assess the problem, and it was a simple fix so they took care of it on the spot. Always friendly and professional when we need anything.
The staff was very friendly and accommodated my request of using a specific oil for my Audi. The car was ready to be picked up in couple of hours. My only suggestion would be to provide some shuttle service if it is going to require dropping the vehicle for more than an hour. Over all, I was very satisfied and will definitely return for next service.
Great service! They do the work that is needed at a fair price. Trustworthy!
Campus Garage is a great local business. The owners and employees are professional, friendly knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend this business and will be a repeat customer for life!
Service is always professional and staff is willing to listen to you. Pricing is more than reasonable. They gain your trust and repeat business.
First time customer, definitely will become a regular customer, they were friendly and honest, very trustworthy
Always great service. They go above and beyond to understand any issues with our older car.
Quick, easy and they did a great job!
Excellent job!
They always take great care of my vehicles and make sure I'm back on the road quickly! Highly recommend them!!
Eric and the team are awesome! Super knowledgeable and only suggest services that are needed today or in near future. We trust Campus for their expertise and honesty! Thanks guys!
Great service! They performed an oil change on our older car and also looked it over to see if any other service would be recommended at this time. Thank you!
Excellent and timely service ... as always.
These folks are the best. Highly knowledgeable, reasonable, and very helpful. The only limitation is they don’t have use of proprietary equipment limited to dealers only.
Friendly staff who know what they’re doing and don’t overcharge you. A great place to take your vehicle.
I have been bringing my BMW to the Campus Garage for the past three years since moving to Ames. I have been pleased with their service thus far. It is nice to have a mechanic you can trust and Campus Garage is that place.
Campus Garage is the best auto mechanic to work with! Although they indicated it may take a few weeks to get it in (which shows how in demand they are!) they were able to check it out within a day, identified the problem (caused by the dealership) and went above and beyond to fix it! They are so nice and…
Easy to make an appointment, everyone I talked to was super nice, and they got my oil changed quickly
The most honest mechanics i have ever experienced. THOUSANDS of dollars saved with all my vehicles. I love them and their customer service. Their communication with me is above the industry standard and they are the ONLY mechanics in Ames I trust. Period!
I've been a loyal Campus Garage customer for over 20 years. Eric and his team are true mechanics in the best sense--knowledgeable, thorough, and detail-oriented. They've always been able to explain what needs to be done in plain language, been fair and accurate with estimates, and have kept two Volkswagens and a…
