We sent our 4 year-old to Canterbury for a year in pre-k and it was the most wonderful experience. And, I can honestly say it made her ready for Kindergarten! Not only did her educational knowledge grow, but her emotional/social skills did as well. I have to give a shoutout to the best pre-k teachers, Ms. Sierra and Ms. Emma. And Kirsten and Tiffany are incredibly helpful as administrators. Our experience here was the best and Canterbury will always have a special place in our hearts.

$400 a week is way too much

We have been with Canterbury for the past eight years, and it has truly been an incredible experience for our family. All three of my daughters have attended, and that alone speaks to the level of trust and confidence we have in this daycare. What stands out most is how well they prepare children in every aspect—socially, emotionally, and academically. My girls have developed strong communication skills, learned how to interact and play with others, and were more than ready when it came time to start kindergarten. I highly recommend Canterbury to any family looking for a nurturing and reliable daycare. It has truly been a wonderful foundation for my children.

My children do not go here, however I had an issue and the staff resolved it quickly and respectfully. I really appreciated that. I have no doubt they do a great job.

Moving to Kansas City from another state was quite a transition, especially for my toddler. Adjusting to a new environment wasn’t easy for him, he didn’t like coming to school and would resist being dropped off. Thankfully, Tiffany and Kristen have been incredibly supportive and welcoming. Their cheerful presence and willingness to assist have made it so much easier for me to leave my son in their care each day. My son is in the Australia classroom, where he is guided by Miss Charli and Miss Olivia. They are both so kind to him and make a genuine effort to ensure he feels comfortable and safe in his new school setting. Overall, I’m truly happy to have found Canterbury. It’s been a wonderful place for my son to begin this new chapter, and I appreciate the warm, caring environment the staff has created.

Very poorly ran preschool. New director every couple months, we are unenrolling to put our son elsewhere.

ZERO STARS. -They passed me their social media card to leave a review after 2 days of attendance -After 2 weeks my son didn’t know the name of any of his teachers or students in his class -Sarah at the front office refused to let me bring my child into school at the start of a new week due to a piece of paperwork I could have gone home and sent in, AFTER allowing my sons father to bring him into school the previous Thursday/Friday with zero issue -Not only did she stop my son and I in the lobby but when I asked why his father wasn’t required to complete paperwork she became angry and defensive, IN FRONT OF MY SON -She then went on to have a dishonest and immoral conversation with my sons father the following week -THIS SCHOOL IS OWNED BY A COMPANY, NEITHER THE CURRENT STAFF NOR THE CORPORATE “MANAGERS” CARE ABOUT THE CHILD OR THE FAMILY CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY ARE RUDE, FRAUDULENT AND NEGLECTFUL. -A close friend of mine sent her daughter here when they still had cameras in the lobby, on her daughters first day she waited and witnessed her daughter under a table, one of the “teachers” (no education background) picked up the table and slammed it on the ground to “scare” her out. She immediately got her daughter, left and unenrolled

We absolutely love Canterbury and the staff! Highly recommend, specifically the pre-school classes! Ms. Nicole and Mrs. Brouse are absolutely incredible!

Ever since we enrolled our child at Canterbury post-pandemic, he has thrived!! The directors, teachers and students in his class are all extraordinary people. The directors have implemented spirit weeks to continue to make school even more fun, the teachers make class time fun with new themes every week and lots of fresh air when the weather cooperates, and all of the students have been fun to have in class. Our son always has stories of his favorite joke of the day, what made him laugh or what he learned. On top of fulfilling the biggest piece for me, making learning fun, Canterbury staff and parents have done well staying safe throughout the pandemic. We stay informed on what to expect, what is changing and what to do if exposed, which has not been as frequent as other parents in my circle. I absolutely and always recommend Canterbury at Briarcliff to new parents or anyone looking for a new pre-school.

When looking for a place to send our two year old, we wanted somewhere that would engage with her, keep the tv away, help her learn to live a healthy lifestyle, and would be a safe place for her. Canterbury in Briarcliff has been that and more. We love the teachers, the staff, and the environment created by all those involved. Our daughter is so excited to go to school and is a fantastic outlet for her, especially during this pandemic. We'll be sending all our future children to this school.
