Miguel did a great job on our roof and gutter installation. Even on a hot DC day, Miguel was able to get the whole project complete in one day. We have no complaints with Miguel!
We did find Pat to be challenging to work with. He would be insist on talking later in the evening, and would take days to respond to messages, if he responded at all. We ran into some issues with our new roof/gutters, and Pat was unwilling to help fix the problem. He said keeping the new gutters from leaking under the new roof was ‘additional scope’.
Miguel was great, but Pat can be very challenging to deal with.
Ian thank you for reaching out and we truly seek to serve so it really bothers us when a client is not fully satisfied. I am not sure if this was a lapse in clarity of scope, a lapse in our systems, or what happened. I will figure it out to ensure we can keep improving our service. Please allow me a day to look into the details to get you a adequate response or resolution.

The Capitol Improvement folks built a new deck and new driveway with pavers. I am quite happy with the job they did. No complaints really. I'll add a special shoutout to the guy (I don't recall his name) who built the deck. It was the hottest week during the summer and this guy basically built the deck by himself. I'll also note that they had the best price of the four groups I interviewed. So that was nice.
Price assessment: Great price
Price: $45,000–50,000

Capitol Improvements did a great job re-siding my rowhouse. It was a tricky job (involved placing ladders on my neighbor's roof to access the side of my house) that other contractors did not want to take. Ryan and his team were great, and worked overtime to complete the job in one day. They were courteous and left a clean job site. The team was also great about answering questions I had in advance of the work.
Price assessment: Reasonable price

I had a full roof replacement done by Capitol Improvements, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The quality of their work is outstanding. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
They’re a family-run company, which made the whole process feel more personal and trustworthy. I worked directly with Lance, who was incredibly responsive, fair, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt confident every step of the way.
I’ve already recommended them to a friend, who has since signed on with them for work on his own property.
Highly recommend Capitol Improvements if you’re looking for quality roofing and a team you can trust.

We had a great experience with Capitol Improvements. They beat another bid we received while still offering very competitive rates, and they clearly understood what we needed for a window and door replacement project that also required new trim inside and out.
The team went above and beyond to make sure everything looked clean, finished, and well-insulated. They were also flexible when I overlooked a prerequisite for the project and had to return another day to complete the work.
Special thanks to Jason for his responsiveness, transparency, and excellent communication throughout the process.
